Updated News: Wrath to be playable at 9pm PST across all North American realms

Snydri has come out with a very clear, very concise statement: Wrath of the Lich King will be playable at 9:00pm PST on all North American and Oceanic realms.This differs significantly from previous statements by blues that have said that Wrath will be playable based on your time zone.
Additionally, there are reports that people have already gotten into Northrend on the EU servers. Quite a bunch of lucky folks.
But for the majority of us here in the states, we'll be seeing you at 9:00pm PST / 12:00am EST in Northrend!

In any case, still sucks for EST because we get it at 12am...and I don't know about you guys, but I normally go to bed around 12-1am EST D:.

Boo. I wanted to be able to buy it (Eastern time zone) & still have time to install / patch before it went live on my server (Central time).
Are people in the Pacific time zone going to be able to buy the game at 9pm PST?

Well that is not cool. Way to reward us on the east coast for constantly getting screwed by maintenence.
So will West coast people be able to buy the game at 9pm PST??
Or do they still have to wait until 12 PST?

We do live in the future. Its not my fault you live 3 hours behind me. When servers go down for maintenence it effects people on the east coast more. It is well into the evening before servers come back up every tue on our coast.

By "late in the evening" and "get screwed every tuesday" you mean 2pm? isn't that when you get to play after maintenance?

When I first saw the original Blue posts stating that you couldnt get in until 12am of your time zone I was disappointed but know I'm a happy man!
Hope to be the first in my guild to 71! Most in my guild are PST and are going to mid night releases so I will be on playing well before them lol.

I do not understand why sellers in PST cannot put Wrath up for sale at 9pm...I mean, it is the same time that the EST people get it...feels like the olympics again..

I really hope 7-11 is punished harshly for selling early. It is especially uncool that thousands of us gamers will need to wait in line until midnight to get our copies, but a few people get theirs early.

So do I find a 7/11 that's selling it and cancel my preorder, or just suck it up and wait until tomorrow?
If we can play at 9 pm tonight, does that mean they'll turn on the installer described earlier as well?

Well anyone that is actually getting online tonight is probably only 10% of each server. I don't think too many of us are uber nerds =).
