Wrath 101: When will Wrath be playable, exactly? [Updated]

When can I exactly play this game I've been hearing about for 471 days*?
The answer can be made more complicated than you want to know. The short answer is at midnight in your respective time zones.
More complicated answers:
- Eastern Time Zone: 12:00:00 a.m. on Thursday November 13th, 2008
- Central Time Zone: 11:00:00 p.m. on Wednesday November 12th, 2008
- Mountain Time Zone: 10:00:00 a.m. on Wednesday November 12th, 2008
- Pacific Time Zone: 9:00:00 p.m. on Wednesday November 12th, 2008
- GMT: Thursday November 13th, 2008 05:00:00 for you east coasters.
- Unix Time: 1226552400 for you east coasters.
*The first rumors of Wrath of the Lich King came out on July 31st, 2007. According to timeanddate.com, that's 471 days of Wrath information, including today. It should be noted that 471 has exactly four positive whole number factors: 1, 3, 157, and 471. Now if my numerology is correct, that means it only has two pairs of factors, and this is the second expansion. Clearly something is going on here...

Im jacking the first comment so i can ask a question. Once I enter my Wrath key will i start to net rest xp? or will i need to log first?

There was a blue post that said northrend will be available at 9pm PST in the states, so if you live in the EST, but play on a westcoast server you can go at midnight local time. I suppose this means that if you live on the west coast, and can manage to get your hands on one of those box's being sold early (i won't mention any retailer's names), then you could go to Northrend at 9pm PST. the post came yesterday I believe, if you wanna check blue.mmo-champion.com to verify. But I'm not lying.

I would love to be optimistic about this, but I see very little chance that much of anyone will be doing much of anything until at least Friday afternoon. Maybe you'll get a few hours in, but I suspect at least one emergency shutdown a rolling restart or two. Maybe I'm wrong, but it's a lot of content to assume it will go swimmingly, and between that and the lag, I'm just going to sit it out for a few days and see what's what by checking WoW Insider. Playing the game is less important to me than enjoying it, and I'm not sure that's going to happen immediately.

Being on the east coast always sucks on Tuesdays because of maintenance. I for one only think it's fair that we get to hop into Northrend first. Now I wonder how many people on Gorgannash will be jumping ship tonight.

Yea - so basically, I live on the east coast (pennsylvania). My server is Echo Isle which is PST. So that means I have to wait until 3AM EST to play????????

I won't buy the expansion till tomorrow afternoon, (an honest man's gotta work on thursdays, so no after midnight bedtime for me), HOWEVER, are you horde or alliance? I happen to be in the same situation on Echo Isles, and am looking for a Horde side EST time raiding guild :)
