US transfers now available
I like to think this is in response to Jose here: Nethaera has announced some free realm transfers for North American players, to complement the European ones. In addition, the list of eligible realms for migration to Fizzcrank, the new transfer realm, has been expanded. The transfers to Fizzcrank are currently active, and are scheduled to run until Monday, 11/24, 12:00 PM PST. Realms newly eligible are in italics.
- Source: Aggramar, Alleria, Alextrasza, Argent Dawn, Arygos, Blackhand, Doomhammer, Greymane, Hellscream, Hyjal, Medivh, Thrall, Silvermoon, Whisperwind, Zul'jin
- Destination: Fizzcrank
These moves, on PvP servers, are just your run-of-the-mill free server transfers. They are currently active, and are scheduled to run until Thursday, 11/20, 4:00 PM PST.
- Source A: Arthas, Magtheridon, Mal'Ganis, Kel'Thuzad
- Destination A: Dentarg
- Source B: Burning Blade, Cho'gall, Illidan, Mannoroth, Skullcrusher
- Destination B: Haomarush
So who's switching homes? Those are some extremely popular realms in the source sections there; denizens of Dentarg and Haomarush, are you up for the influx?

That's a lot of servers! Luckily I am on the new server, Grizzly Hills :)
VSUReaper Nov 14th 2008 1:17AM
WTB more people (pref alliance) on BWL - we are a "med pop" server that is actually a low pop server due to the amount of people quitting and rerolling on more progressed servers.
Arivia Nov 13th 2008 9:13PM
With both of my servers (Alleria and Shadow Council [seriously, when the hell is Shadow Council - an RP server - ever full?]) on 500+ queues tonight, and Alleria's notable alliance:horde imbalance of like 4:1, I'd consider going to Fizzcrank...if all the other awesome people in my guild would go too.
Eliah Hecht Nov 13th 2008 9:16PM
Shadow Council represent! Yeah, I haven't seen a queue like this on ShC since...ever, actually. That's what I moved from Feathermoon to get away from.
Mairead Nov 13th 2008 10:06PM
Woot for Shadow Council! At a 700+ queue just after installing Wrath tonight, this is kind of ridiculous.
Solex Nov 13th 2008 10:13PM
Currently on Cho'gall there's a 500+ queue with an hour long wait to get on and with a 4 to 1 horde to ally ratio, its a little crazy and this is a more than welcome xfer.
Neglekt Nov 13th 2008 9:18PM
It'd be nice if Cenarius was on the list...after a hard day of work I come home to a 1000+ queue...I kinda think blizz should just open up free transfers for any high/locked server to any low/recommended server.
Falcrist Nov 13th 2008 9:21PM
I don't know about the other servers, but Cho'Gall has become high pop overnight. We got a glimpse of the queue when 3.0 hit, and now it's well over 1000 (and over 30 minutes wait time).
I think I speak for my whole guild (and EVERYONE on trade chat) when I say:
"GTFO MY SERVER"
kthxbai
P.S. Now taking bets on the likelihood of major guilds like Deathwish transferring.
MechaKingGhidra Nov 13th 2008 10:59PM
The only character of any worth I have on Cho'Gall was originally rolled there and personally, if you and such a massive population have the same bloody opinion (the GTFO part, of course) then at least I'll be taking the advice even if the massive waves of relatively new incoming transfers *on* to the server don't.
While I was able to, more or less, pick my battles and earned a general sense of respect with *some* other people, I've had it up over my head with the overwhelming amount of elitist snobs who think they're the best thing since sliced bread (corny-sounding, I know, but I'd rather use what I am led to believe to be the oldest version of the saying).
Yeah, it's a PvP server and I'd have better luck dealing with people on a 'carebear' server (PvE), but I've been waiting so bloody long for a free ride to another server due to the horrendous abuse of anonymous identities provided by the internet that let so many people congregate and fester into what has been the worst treating of other human beings that a game is capable of allowing I have ever had to endure.
So, by all means: you want Cho'Gall to yourself and all those like-minded to yourself? Well, you can damn well have it.
Hopefully, you'll continue to have 3 or more hour waits on that exactly specified class/spec with only the best gear available, etc, to go to an instance/raid or eventually disband because you aren't open to suggestions. I also pray you'll tear each other apart in continued attempts to PvP, that you spend more time typing out your primal calls of supremacy that you don't actually *do* anything and then blame people on the opposite side of the map when you auto-run into 7+ enemies.
I really could go on with more examples of how stubborn and ignorant the vast majority of you are but I've taken up playing alternative games until I can log on, clear my mail, and transfer out before the free offer expires.
*Disclaimer: I'm Horde-side, and although I am clueless if Alliance-side players have more or less the same issues, I apologies if assumptions were based on anything I may have said.
EnvyGeeks Nov 13th 2008 11:05PM
I moved to Thrall months ago - I mean months ago back when my toon only had like 50 days play-time - because it was such a great raiding server, never had a bad time in a pug. Let alone a bad time finding a good raiding guild. I'm sad to have to go but it seems all the crap players that got weened out are coming back. No offense if you like to wipe raids or nothing, you always give me a good laugh, I've packed my stuff and moved.
Lord N Nov 14th 2008 12:18AM
Tons of kids on the Alliance side too, Mecha. This is only compounded by the constant tension that a 4:1 horde-alliance ratio brings.
Suffice it to say, my guild is seriously considering the transfer. Cho'gall has kinda become a nightmare.
Falcrist Nov 14th 2008 5:48AM
@MechaKingGhidra
Considering the length and heartfelt content of your post, I dislike having to tell you this, but I wasn't really being serious with the GTFO part. And I'm not in a raiding guild and never have been. Although I'm somewhat proud of the fact that I've made it to T5+ (pre 3.0) with no help from guildies or anyone else.
I've had some bad pugs, just like everyone else. I've run into some self absorbed idiots, just like everyone else. I've encountered the stubborn and ignorant, just like everyone else. Truely, the downfall of this game is the people playing it. But unlike many people I meet (such as yourself, apparently) I don't let it get to me. I choose to ignore the idiots and the ignorant; the self absorbed and the stupid, and (with judicious use of my friends list or a piece of paper) just move on.
So my real advice to you is twofold:
1) Don't let the community get to you. A jaded wow player is not a happy wow player. And
2) Don't automatically assume you're a better person than those around you. THAT kind of superior attitude is something I can't stand.
If your attitude is still the same, then ya, feel free to gtfo. There are better things to do than sitting around on my server feeling sorry for yourself, and if that's all you're doing, then I'll ask you to step aside and shorten the queue.
MechaKingGhidra Nov 14th 2008 9:43AM
@Falcrist
While I most certainly do *not* feel that I am superior to anyone, personally, I tried being a good person for so long on that server and while, admittedly, some people would say I may have been overly polite (somewhat difficult to strike a balance once in a while when one does not have access to different stresses on exactly *how* you want to word something, so it comes off awkwardly), the majority of people I tried to have any reasonable talk to either tried to make my gaming experience as trying as possible, outright lying and using general influence to prevent others from even having thoughts about inviting me to things because they just didn't feel that when I got lucky on some things (few and far in-between, but it happens and I rarely believe said luck sometimes) and they happened to be around, they turned into crybabies or they just don't like having anyone with a coherent speech pattern (I know it seems ridiculous, but I have indeed found many people to be rather offended to people who don't conform to stereotypes).
There's obviously more behind the matter, but at the moment I am unable to think of a more elaborate explanation off the top of my head.
Apologies for the rather thick paragraph above, but I could not shorten it without it losing at least part of what I have intended to say with the given time I have at the moment to type this out. Otherwise, I'm sure I would have forgot the majority of what I had planned to respond with and should I have had more time to work on it, I would have made it easier on the eyes.
Questor Nov 13th 2008 9:21PM
Open some Oceanic servers for transfers..Aman'Thul regularly has over 300 queues before the xpac - not tried since, I don't know if I dare!
Kaimu Nov 13th 2008 9:21PM
WTF is dentarg?
Why cant KT get xfers to a server to a better realm?? like a new one? >_>;
doug Nov 13th 2008 9:22PM
Is there a way to turn off the damned Dragon while waiting for the queues?
I'm going crazy
Kasumi Nov 13th 2008 9:26PM
I wish Bronzebeard would get an Alliance transfer off as we're outnumbered at least 3 to 1 for Horde :(.
Shizuko Nov 13th 2008 9:43PM
1,133 in queue for DoomHammer. After 35 mins it's down to 580.
Just hope that when I finally do get in I won't be seeing 11,000 latency like this morning.
Hanako Nov 13th 2008 9:39PM
Twisting Nether - RPPVP has a 600+ queue time. My mind is blown.
superkind Nov 13th 2008 9:43PM
When you pay to play a game shouldn't you be able to play or get a refund for that day... this is just unreal.
