Breakfast Topic: What Northrend zone did you begin in and why?

After the Midnight Launch, I rushed home with my precious Collector's Edition, installed, patched and made a Death Knight. I'm not ready to play my DK yet, but I wanted to reserve the name and get her resting. Then I put my druid on a zeppelin and went to Northrend.
I didn't research the best starting zone for my class. I didn't even think about where the zeppelin might be taking me. I just randomly chose the Undercity portal from Shattrath and went from there. So here I am in the Howling Fjord. From a Tauren perspective, I'm not sure how I feel about doing chores for the Forsaken. Ah well, we're all in this together, right?
Where did you begin your Northrend questing? Did you research your decision, choose randomly or follow the pack?

I started at BF because I did not know any better.
Of course, being that my server is Haomarush, there is no such thing as overcrowding. It was actually nice to quest and be able to see other players questing! (I have done about 50% of my quests by myself in zones where I am the only player.)

I like HF. No hippies to interrupt my skill up on skinning.

Well... I started off in wrath at Borean Tundra only because i was in Stormwind when i logged on after installing WotLK. Stayed there long enough to do a few of the quests, then i bolted off to Howling Fjord because i have heard so much hype about it. I cant say that i favor one area over the other, i thought they were both spectacular. Still questing at the Fjord at the moment but i followed your guide to the turtle boats so i can travel to each area as i need to.

I started in BT because a guildie wanted to go there, as soon as he logged I jumped to HF and love it. Both zones are good but I much prefer the look and feel to the Fjord, though I didn't run into Arthas durring the vision quest and that makes me sad :(
Also I'm like rec, it's nice seeing other people around. I only started playing about 6 months ago and doing a lot of quests I was the only person in the zone. I'll take my turn waiting for kill person X quests, I'm happy to do that just to see other people.

Borean Tundra, happened to stroll in there as i'd logged in Orgrimmar.
Garrosh remembering me from Nagrand and Saurfang remembering me giving him Nefarion's head to put on a pike sealed it. Apparently he recognises a Scarab lord too.

I'd heard there were more multi-mob fights in Borean, so I decided I'd take my priest through Howling and my aff lock through Borean.
Then it was /roll to find out who I'd level first. While my priest is my main, I enjoy playing all my 70's equally >.< Lock won the roll.

I went to Howling Fjord because I knew most Alliance would take the quick and easy trip from SW to Borean Tundra. It worked out pretty good. There was very little traffic to contend with. Once I finished, I traveled by sea turtle to Borean Tundra and knocked out all those quests. It was pretty crowded in Borean Tundra even then.

I did both actually.
My computer (paperweight from HELLfire) had some serious lag issues though. After a while, my graphics would start flashing pink and then my floor would disappear.
That faded after the craziness of the first week.
However, i started out in the Tundra.
(surprizing how well i did with my Questhelper withdrawl)
But personally i find the Fjord much more appealing. The graphics and music are just wonderful. I feel like i just walked out of BRAVEHEART or something like that.
But, between getting both zones done to about 80%, and not a single instance run, my feral kitty kat is happily sitting on 73 without even touching Dragonblight. :P
