I think it is a bit premature to rule out Frost spec as useful simply because a blogger here didn't mention it.

The question didn't ask about the roles of DK talent trees, just which is best for Tanking, DPS and Casting. Which they answered.

In my experience, every DK and their ghoul is specced Unholy. Frost is, at least on Dreadmaul Horde, the least popular for leveling, but no one really talks down about it.

What exactly is your point?

If frost is not the best for dps, tanking, OR casting then what is it good for? Thus I assume it's a worthless tree, unless it's for pvp.

Any way you slice your unholy bread it's still falling away from blizz's intial intentions where frost was supposed to be the tanking tree.
