Just an hour ago, we reported that über mutant guild conglomerate
TwentyFifthNovember, a merger of two of the world's bleeding edge guilds -- SK Gaming and Nihilum --
beat the 'entry-level' raid of Naxxramas. This was fast, although not entirely unexpected considering that Naxxramas was an old-world raid that was retuned for 25-man (and 10-man) content. However, TwentyFifthNovember's website reports that they have also defeated Malygos, currently the end, and
supposedly most difficult, boss of current
Wrath of the Lich King content (Icecrown and Arthas will be accessible in a future patch). Their website says
'soon...' but I didn't take that to mean
'right now'.
This means that within three days of the game's launch, a guild has leveled to max level (although some members of the raid were below 80) and defeated all available raid content. While Blizzard has admitted to tuning the game to become more accessible to more players, or a more casual audience, TwentyFifthNovember's defeat of all PvE content available in the current game brings into question just how tuned down PvE content has become. It will be interesting to see how long it will take another Guild to clear through all of Northrend. Congratulations, TwentyFifthNovember! You can now all go an play Guitar Hero. Or something.

Last Resort on my realm Kazzak have just killed Sartharion on heroic difficulty....
gameprogrammer81 Nov 15th 2008 5:07PM
I'm not impressed. WoW has been a casual game for awhile now.
boronak Nov 15th 2008 5:25PM
yawn, another world first that means nothing more than skipping sleep and a social life for a week to beat a computer game, yes a computer game. If sites like this stopped fawning over these guilds like they were gods instead of just "Obsessive" gamers then perhaps we'd all have more fun. Enjoy your 15 mins of fame cos thats all it will be
Azhariel Nov 15th 2008 5:39PM
I guess they want to get all WOTLK Raid achievements before 11/25. There's some more besides "just" clearing it on Heroic, but they should be able to do those anyway.
daishi Nov 15th 2008 6:03PM
just shows europeans have more free time than americans. that and really even though they retuned naxx im sure its the same exact naxx as the old one. just tuned for 10/25 man instead of 40.
must be nice to have nothing better to do with your vacation time though than just race through to the "end of game" and that's it. this whole race to the end thing is just getting retarded. im sure they read the last page of every book and fast forward to the end of every movie too without reading the rest of the details. screw these guys.
Steve Nov 15th 2008 5:53PM
Congrats to them. That seriously must have taken a lot of effort.
On the other hand, is this not equivalent to all of our dear friends that rage into a new topic yelling "First!" It certainly takes more time (and skill), but it seems that there was no purpose other than to get yet another mention on WoWInsider and the like.
Mission Accomplished.

Grats... I suppose.
Seems a bit anticlimactic to me. Ive only hit level 71 and a half so far, but I have a job I can't take time off from and other things to do. And I plan to see everything there is to see on my way to 70. Only about half done with the Borean Tundra and have wandered over to the Howling Fjord to see the sights there too. All in all, I doubt I'll be the first thousand people on my realm to hit 80. And I'm fine with that. I didn't make it into the beta (The fastest leveling people on any realm are going to be the ones who had 80s in the beta.) I've read up some on things like skills and talents and even some gear, but I avoided reading up on most of the specific content (Except for the DK starting quests... Which were epic, and perhaps more so since I knew what to look for.) Its nice to have to hunt for quest objectives again in a way I haven't for a good long while.
So grats... I guess. Just please don't complain for the next however many months until the next content patch that you have nothing to do. That's what happens when you beat a game 3 days after its release. The rest of us still have plenty left to do, thank you.

Why do some people feel the need to insult others when the other people accomplish things...?
I mean, I'll be having fun doing stuff at my own pace, but it's still kinda cool that they can burn through something so fast. I'm kinda impressed.
sephirah Nov 15th 2008 9:08PM
People that write on their site:
"is this Blizzard folding under the weight of a large casual player base that demands to be on equal footing with end-game raiders?"
deserve to be insulted.
By the way, they write too:
"The question in all our minds right now is if we could do this, how soon until the rest of the top guilds in the world clear all the raid content that WOTLK has to offer? Did Blizzard miscalculate in the tuning of these encounters?"
Sure, they've never seen those raids before... they were in beta for months...
Cyanea Nov 15th 2008 6:23PM
Yeah...I wasn't impressed by the BC endgame and the idea that I was supposed to spend every waking moment hunting down Badges so I can look like every OTHER Warlock at level 70.
These guys probably played everything exhaustively in the beta, probably worked to figure out the quickest route to 80, and repeatedly studied the raids and instances to find the best plan. Kudos to them.
But these guys are a "professional" raiding guild who were obviously planning this from the moment the beta hit. I'm sure it's still going to be plenty challenging for the remainder of the "regular" raiding guilds, and a fun time for the other 98% of the population.
(Jot me down as one of those one's who is glad that the endgame is more accepting to casual players, though...)
Brad Nov 15th 2008 6:47PM
I've registered with this site just to make the following content:
It is so unbelievably important to make the point that these people represent the smallest imaginable fraction of the WotLK content. Nobody should call for harder content, or 20 levels instead of 10.
What you are seeing represented by this guild/group of players is the absolute most upper/elite echlon of obsessive and uber-hardcore gamers that will always exist somewhere. There is no amount of reasonably accomplish-able content that Blizzard could add in such that this extreme gamer demographic wouldn't accomplish it soon after release.
Theres plenty of content for average gamers like me and you in WoTLK. People like this are laudable and mentionable for their dedication, but this is 99% reflection on the individuals doing the thing, 1% the thing itself.
So please, when you're reading about that crazy kid in Europe who hasn't stopped yet playing and hit level 80 in however many days - please realize that is less than 1% of o1% of everybody who plays the game. The rest of us are having fun playing when we're not working or enjoy our other hobbies.
uncaringbear Nov 15th 2008 7:16PM
People who complain about the content being too easy should really go suck monkey balls and find a more challenging game to waste their life on. They add zero value to the WoW community and are self-important jackasses.
Cat Nov 15th 2008 7:32PM
Listen to all the sour grapes! These guys did in *three days* what it will probably take my guild months to do, and what many of you will never do. Congrats to them all.
Maybe the nerf bat has been wielded a little too strongly, maybe not. But all your gobbing off makes you sound like whiny jealous pre-teens - which is probably what many of you are. Grow up and have the balls to recognise an outstanding achievement when you see one.
Andrew Nov 16th 2008 10:00AM
Sour grapes?
The biggest actual complaint here is not that they got world first but their attitude towards it. Who gives a shit if they "beat" wrath? Grats to them. As most people here have said, we're still levelling and having a blast, and I'm sure when we get to those raids we'll have fun too.
The issue, and it's something we saw from Nihilum in TBC as well, is this attitude that Blizzard should be catering specifically to them and to a lesser extent the other top end hardcore guilds. "Worries" that are thinly veiled posturing, complaining and chastising Blizzard because there's nothing left for them to do, even though the vast majority of the playerbase is still progressing happily through the content
These people make up a tiny TINY fraction of the playerbase, and are not the people Blizzard should be focusing on.
So congratulations to this guild for their accomplishment. I'm sorry that you found it so easy, but realistically that complaint means nothing to 99% of people currently playing the game.
Cat Nov 16th 2008 9:22PM
Firstly, it doesn't "mean nothing to 99% of the players" - raiders represent a much larger percentage than that, and over-nerfing of content to the point where little challenge remains is a concern I would guess applies to most of those. What percentage of players have Ret Pally mains? A small percentage - so should we not be concerned with issues of Ret Pally imbalance, and should Blizzard not care about their concerns? Every player is in some minority demographic, and every player has the right to voice their concerns. The top raiding guild in the world, after clearing all of the expansion content, certainly has the right and the qualifications to make comment.
Next, I read 25Nov's comment and didn't read it as "thinly veiled posturing". When I, as a raider, read the news that all endgame raid content had been beaten a) in largely T6 gear, b) with some toons that weren't even lv80, and c) in three days after release, I wondered the same thing - has Wrath been over-nerfed? That is a perfectly reasonable question to ask, and it should be asked.
Did 25Nov come out and say "w00t w00t we are awesome and everyone else is a noob, you all suck!!"? No they didn't. They voiced a legitimate concern that represents the concerns of a significant demographic in the WoW playerbase.
If you levelled 70-80 in 20 minutes having only done 8 easy quests, would you voice a concern about levelling being nerfed? If you were handed endgame PvP gear from a vendor at level 71 to put all PvPers on an equal footing, would you voice a concern about lack of reward? That is, essentially, what has been handed to endgame raiders in this expansion.
I am not saying that you should all jump onto the raiding cause - play the way you want to play. But don't drag down a significant achievement and try to take your blinkers off to see things from raiders' perspectives because this is a significant issue for them. Look up Tall Poppy Syndrome on wikipedia and take a good hard look at yourselves.
ibcfreak Nov 15th 2008 7:33PM
TBH...I don't give two shits what nihilum/sk does...They beat all of the WoLK raid content...woop de fucking doo...you just spent 3 days doin everything...and now you are going to be bored or complaining (which they already seem to be doing) that stuff is to easy...fuck em...this isnt a game for ONLY hardcore raiders...I'm a casual player...I play a couple hours a day here and there...Hell...I havent even hit 71 yet...but you know what? I dont give a shit...I'm enjoying the pretty scenery and the interesting new quests...For all their smack talk...this game wouldn't even be here without the 98% "casual" player base...and thats what...10 million of us compared to the (ballpark) 20k hardcore players...
zijteh Nov 15th 2008 7:43PM
Well done.
Why are they called twentyfifthnovember anyways?
I guess most of them are scandinavian and decided to reinvent how you actually type dates in English. Other than that, cool idea for a guild name.
DanH Nov 16th 2008 7:05AM
Umm, just FYI, that's the way we write dates in English here in England as well.
carnal Nov 15th 2008 7:59PM
To everybody that;s saying "have fun waiting for the next xpac" or "I bet they'll complain about having nothing to do now".
You do realize they can level there alts now and enjoy all of the quests and everything else in there entirety now right?
Sian Nov 17th 2008 3:03PM
Congratulations to them.
I don't give a monkey's rat arse how quickly they got them, as I'm enjoying Wotlk at my own pace and steadily gaining ground hour by hour.
