With reputation discounts i think these rings don't cost that much more than your epic flying training. However it'll get you around the world far faster than an epic flapper ever could. Also the stats are fairly nice for folks too, if you want it, it's worth the price, if you don't it's not but no matter what it'll always be useful in your bags if you get it..... unless your a scribe, in which case you can make your own hearthstone-type scrolls(i think you can at 80) but again, only if you don't want/need the stats the rings provide though.

You can make Recall Scrolls (Ultima Online reference ftw) at pretty much any level of inscription. You do however, have to make and use the ones which are appropriate for your level - no using Rank 1 Recall Scrolls when you're 60+ because the consequences are hilarious (I've been teleported to the middle of the barons, Un'Goro Crater and 300 feet up in the air over a Murloc camp in Swamp of Sorrows by malfunctioning Recall Scrolls so far).Recall III is the lvl 71-80 scroll. Does the same as Recall I and Recall II but works for 70-80s

The scrolls will only port you to your bind point. So it is only useful if your hearthstone is on cooldown. Now if you want to go to the Barrens for some reason you can use a (lower level then you) recall scroll and you'll have 1/8th chance of getting there. Or falling to your doom in Swamp of Sorrows(if you survive you get the going down achievment) yay
