I haven't had time to level past 71, but each day I am logging on just to do the sea cow mating quest (...) so that I'm that little bit closer to the fishing pole reward. It took me a long time to level fishing to 375 but I enjoyed the BC dailies so much that now I'm pushing hard for 450. I don't like feeling that there's anywhere in the world (of Warcraft) that I CAN'T fish.

Stop pushing for 450! You can't fish anywhere, these are MY fish! RAWR.

Also, I recommend the Sunday fishing tournament in STV threefold, for the sweet, sweet +35 fishing pole, the sweet, sweet boots/hat/fishing line, and for skilling up - you'll be so focused on the prize, that skilling up takes a backseat, and by the end of the tourney, you've gone up 10-15 skill points without that mind-numbing repetitiveness:
"Will I skill up?" /lootfish "Sigh..." /castline
