Some blues are better than sunwell gear. For example, the Clutch of Demise from Brutallus isn't as good as the Necklace of the Chrono-Lord from old Stratholme. In fact, the Strat neck is a clear cut upgrade.

I'm quite surprised that I'll be replacing Sunwell epics with dungeon blues, after having been told that Sunwell epics will only be replaced by Naxx gear.
