What instances other than Ulduar and Icecrown are (is?) Blizzard suspected to be working on?
We haven't heard anything solid at all. At all. Really, nothing. To make this 'answer' a little more robust, would you like to hear some of the rumors I've heard? This is the part where you nod your head yes!
Mayhaps we're going to revisit Fandral Staghelm's story in Caverns of Time: The War of the Shifting Sands. Maybe we're going into Gundrak Keep to take out the Frost King Malakk and his new band of random assorted animal gods, or he might be a Tier 8 Gruul-like raid, where you cut through his council to get at him, and then you're done. One that's pretty likely is a trip to the deepest reaches of Azjol-Nerub to jab Yogg-Saron with sticks. I've also heard that one of the upcoming dungeons will be a Caverns of Time: Dating Sim raid in which we try to make sure Aegwynn and Nialas Aran get their groove on so Medivh is born. So, you know. Rumors.

I'm not sure if I missed something here, but I remember there was once talk from Blizzard that they were planning to get rid of the whole 'need to be uncrittable as well as uncrushable' thing. Did that happen? I admit its been a while since I've tanked anything at all, so I wouldn't be suprised if I missed something.
You can still be crit without the proper gear, but +3 mobs can no longer crush you under normal circumstances. Crushes start at +4 levels now. Since boss mobs are considered +3, you don't need to be concerned about eating crushing blows while raid tanking anymore. You do still need to be defense capped to avoid being crit.
Leo M asked...
I've seen two different sets of screenshot for the coveted choppas. In some, they have no sidecar, and in others they do. Are there two seperate versions to make, or is there a button to press to summon a sidecar?
It just automatically goes away or pops out depending on whether or not you have a passenger. If someone clicks on your bike, the sidecar folds out and they jump in. When they jump it, it folds back up. Simple!
Twothirteen asked...
Are there any Heroic Daily quest? And if so, where are they? Would they be in Dalaran, kind of like the Heroic Daily in Outland was in Shatt?
Yes, there are Heroic Dungeon dailies and Regular Dungeon dailies, both can be found in Dalaran. They're outside of the Violet Hold. WIth your back to the Hold looking out into the city, the Heroic questgiver wlil be on your left and the regular guy will be on the right. On Cenarion Circle today, the daily heroic is The Nexus as you can see in the screenshot above. Poor, poor Keristrasza.
Fudomyo asked...
My question is about Orbaz Bloodbane - the guy that gives us some quests in the DK starting area and then runs away when Darion is owned by good old Tirion. Does he appear later, in game? Saw he is somewhere in Icecrown, but would like to know more about his role and if we get to do anything about him in the future.
He is indeed in Icecrown. He's been rewarded for his treachery and leads the fresh Death Knights the Lich King has raised to replace the ones he lost at Acherus. Losing Acherus entirely was apparently a bigger blow to the Scourge than the Lich King cares to admit, so he's in a hurry to replace what he lost. Orbaz Bloodbane is the head honcho of these new Death Knights.

"Losing Acherus entirely was apparently a bigger blow to the Scourge than the Lich King cares to admit"
Well, someone does say early on in the DK questline that even Naxxramas couldn't withstand a direct attack from Acherus. Granted, that might've been some idle braggadocio, but I think he knows full well what he lost.

Also with Leo M's question. There are 2 different versions, but not in that way. Separate horde and alliance versions.

A few questions about Dustwallow Marsh, Does the Phasing System work at the deserters in Theramore after the questchain 'Traitors Among Us' (As I hate the 'spam' they give me)?
And what does Jaina Proudmoore do now in Theramore?

Has there been any word on when Blizzard will be letting up on the 'Only 1 Death Knight per realm' policy, or even allowing Death Knight creation on realms where you do not have a 55
+ ? I ask because as it stands I have three realms I can create DKs on, and would like to create 3 separate DKs, however one of the realms is PVP and yes it's carebear to say this, call it what you will, but I enjoy the DK class so much that I just want to continue enjoying the mechanics without being ganked.
Thander Nov 21st 2008 5:14PM
It's my understanding that your character information is saved separately on every realm you have characters on. There's no way currently for them to tell if you have a >55 on another realm when trying to start one on a new realm. You might be able to make one on a realm where you have high levels and pay for a transfer to another realm. I haven't done this but it seems like it might work.
ericeplayer1 Dec 6th 2008 7:47PM
Try creating a level one character on the realm you want your DK on, then making the DK. I can't remember where I heard this, but you might as well give it a try.
slowburn Nov 23rd 2008 1:10PM
I did indeed try that, and it was a no-go, it stated I need a level 55 character on the server. I've given in, though, to playing on the pvp server again. It's not that I'm against open pvp completely, just that there are times, especially with the new class, that I really want to be able to enjoy the game around me without being jumped during battle lol. Thanks for the responses guys. :)

Is it possible to craft Ebonweave without cold weather flying?

While that would be incredibly silly, I'd love to see an alternative sort of dungeon that could reward different kinds of playstyles.
Also, while Blizz admitted only to adding Ulduar and Icecrown. I think we can expect other longer raid instances. Both raids suggested by Alex (Gun'drak and War of The Shifting Sands) are good for potential stories to connect to the main storyline.

This might be a bit early for this question, but my question is about heirloom items.
They are usefull for leveling alts . But what will they be worth after Wrath. Will heirloom items still scale with you when you will be leveling to 90 in a couple of years and will you still get the experience bonus form the shoulders or will they stop being usefull after level 80?
AbsalonPrieto Nov 21st 2008 3:47PM
I remember a Story about how there would be a overhaul to Mining, so you wouldn't have to run to Elwynn forest to get those Copper Nodes to level up. What ever happen to that?
Thander Nov 21st 2008 5:15PM
I'm pretty sure that was already implemented now that you can smelt exclusively to skill up all the way to 250-280 skill.

I remember hearing that they were going to do to tabards what they did to Badges of Justice or vanity pets. Is there still a plan to keep tabards from taking up bag space?

Not really a question, just a pathetic begging to Blizz!
Why can't we fight alongside Arthas and detroy Silvermoon and it's wretched Ranger General and watch him raise her as one of his minions?
It could even be a post Icecrown raid where the Infinite Dragonflight learns the about weaknesses of Arthas during his downing and decide to attack him while he is occupied destroying Silvermoon.
An a more serious note, has Blizzard abandon the idea of profession drops altogether? It seems that every profession has their high end recipes purchased through some daily of sorts. Take enchanting for example. If farming mats as a tailor to make blue items to disenchant into shards really that much more engaging than farming an enchant from orgres in blades edge? I understand their desire to remove instance drops (if that has even happened completely), but it would be nice if some recipes could still be BoP drops from certain mobs for those of us willing to put some effort outside of purchasing or making our own shards for a recipe.

I don't know about other professions, but there are four Cooking recipes that are bind-on-pickup drops in Borean Tundra, Howling Fjord and Dragonblight:
Recipe: Bad Clams
Recipe: Last Week's Mammoth
Recipe: Tasty Cupcake
Recipe: Haunted Herrring
But by and large, it does look like most other professions' recipes are either trained or purchased.

This
I mean really, now all the people are the same, everyone has the same recipes, what makes me stand out from all the other engineers out there. I thought i could maybe still sell eternium scopes, but thats outmoded too. i really hope they add in some drops from high dungeons and raids.

I have question, what professions for cloth dps will max your dps in raids the best? tailoring for the cloak enchant? and enchanting for the ring enchants? or how about the self only jewlcrafting gems? What about leatherworking? and their in-combat items? don't know what they are but I'd imagine an upgraded version of the old drums and the bracer enchants. I'm trying to talk myself out of enchanting/tailoring for jewlcrafting as a mage, but the tailoring damage proc cloak enchant seems pretty OP.

I have a question!
My druid is nearly level 70, and I've been wanting to do arenas with him for a while. Do I have to wait until I'm 80 to do anything worthwhile in arenas? Or are the lvl 70 arenas still going to give out arena points that can buy gear? (I'm assuming there wouldn't be new gear, but will S4 gear still be available for lvl 70s once Season 5 hits?)
Thander Nov 21st 2008 5:17PM
S4 ended when Wrath came out so you can no longer get arena points at 70. I think you can still play in matches but they don't count for anything.
