The other point here...If everyone was happy failing at kara raiding blizz could have left it at that. Make Illidan a 1-shot boss ala Onyxia. Now they didn't and i'm pretty sure regardless of how people did they wouldn't.The point is though - having the top end constantly hammering at the latest content Blizz can make ensure everyone get's more to do. They provide the strats and the time that everyone then uses as resources later on. When was the last time anyone who wasn't in one of the high progress guilds went with 25 people to a boss with the objective of "right folks, new boss to learn" and sat from stratch with no prior knowledge and actually worked the boss out. Anyone "seriously" raiding but not the the extreme levels makes use of information provided by those before them.Another comment here about people jealousy of those with higher equipment etc does also work for a decent chunk of the wow population. A lot do play to see the content but for many others it IS the idea they have a more powerful character than the next guy.All these things together ensure you get your moneys worth from blizz. 25th clearing the game that fast was always likely to happen. The degree of media coverage and the expected backlash from "the masses" that it HAS been cleared so quickly will speed up the patching in of 3.1 just that bit quicker. If the media didn't cover it who would know?
