I've only done The Nexus and Utgarde Keep, but I've done both of them probably 10 times apiece. Both have less and easier trash than TBC equivalents (Ramparts, Blood Furnace, and Slave Pens), but the boss fights are more involved. Still, you can blast through them with no CC and no downtime at all if you have half a clue.
The only failed run I've been in had a DPS-spec'd DK trying to tank with 9.5k HP. My warrior is geared out from pre-TBC raids, but my druid started with dungeon blues and quest greens. The gear helps, but it doesn't make a huge difference, since I've had no problem healing prot pally tanks with 12k HP in quest greens.
I like that the dungeons are the way they are in WotLK. Between the weaker trash and the stronger abilities, a competent group can blow through them quick enough to make them a nice alternative for questing when you don't feel like doing it. On the other hand, screwing up can still wipe you, so it's not like there's NO challenge.
