TwentyFifthNovember becomes Ensidia
The merger between Nihilum and SK Gaming that was temporarily known as TwentyFifthNovember (who has already cleared all current Wrath content) has announced their new name. Ensidia. There are some neat details they've announced with their name, such as launching a community site soon and all of that, but none of that is particularly important. What's important is their new name sounds like some kind of medicine or drug. Every corner of the internet is currently giggling to themselves over it. A professional gaming group? No way. They're some kind of sleep aid, or erectile dysfunction medication. I've seen at least a dozen people rattling off potential side effects of taking Ensidia tonight. I'm not really curious about their raid progression anymore, I'm more interested in whether I can take it on an empty stomach or not.

I am truly amazed what a little 200 word blurb (no offense but an article usually has more than 2 paragraphs) will do to bored people. 3 PAGES of responses. Shouldn't you be leveling or grinding or something? ;P
I would like to point out that responding to the "article" kind of implies that you are interested in it. =)
My thoughts...good for those guys. Doesn't affect me in any way, like it doesn't really affect anybody else. It's a game. Some people are now getting paid for it. End of discussion.

I'm in no way interested in the article. What I'm interested in is not having WoW Insider turn into the tabloids of Azeroth. It's like watching the news and having some stupid TMZ piece pop up in the middle.
Robert Nov 24th 2008 11:48PM
And Nihilium doesn't sound funny?
Nick Nov 25th 2008 12:14AM
hey WI eds (if you've read past all the other comments),
you should consider making the article tags larger, or more visible, so that people realize this article is meant to be humorous and is someone's opinion. I enjoy reading the articles on this site, and when I see that something has a lot of comments, I'm usually expecting to see some (good) feedback that continues what the article is talking about, not a bunch of numskulls complaining about it. when there are more comments regarding the placement of the article than the content of the article itself, something is wrong.

For everyone's viewing pleasure, a WoWInsider Blog Comment section impression:
"FIRST"
"OMG IRRELEVANT ARTICLE"
"GASP U SAID T3H WORD GAY THAT IS ILLEGAL"
"You spelled mononucleosis wrong, twice, in german"
"I WILL LOUDLY COMPLAIN ABOUT THIS ARTICLE INSTEAD OF SIMPLY IGNORING IT"
"I DO NOT SEEM TO UNDERSTAND THAT NEWS ABOUT A WoW GUILD IS WoW RELATED"
"LET ALL US COMMENTATORS NEVER REPRODUCE AND THUS SPARE THE REST OF THE BLOGOSPHERE"

It's going to be funny reading about them clearing each raid a week after it is released...then sit around on their forums and post about how awesome they are, how they hate bliz for not having enough hardxcore raids, and general casual hate. If ensidia is on the internet, i'll be on the direct other side of the internet, where the hawt bewbs are.

ps
girls cant raid. too much menstrual aggro.
Zumacrume Nov 25th 2008 1:22AM
PPS:
their sob story on their website is absolutely terrible.
Hey, Ensidia,
If you don't like the game being made easier for casuals...stop playing please. It'll clear up the first 2 google pages of your stupid guild name, and give you some free time to stretch your legs.
Patrick Nov 25th 2008 11:39PM
To all the haters/pessimists:
Like it or not this guild is newsworthy in the WoW community. They get the first kills, and they get the endorsements. If you could care less regardless then that is your prerogative. But like it or not this is what is going on in the world... of warcraft.

This news can be described in two words:
BOR-ING.
Tenchan Nov 25th 2008 2:09AM
I too feel reminded of 'insidious' and nothing else.
Hoggersbud Nov 25th 2008 2:37AM
Meh, I liked the prior name better even than I like their original names. This doesn't impress.
TobiasX Nov 25th 2008 2:38AM
No offense meant Alex, but instead of all the things stated on Ensidia's site Why did you focus on a playground-level joke about their name?
The website has some pretty good points about the state of the game. I personally play it for the challenge of beating difficult content with my friends; the impression I'm getting from the larger community (Ensidia just did a good job of summing it up) is that there isn't much "difficult" left.
I just hope they're wrong about the rest of wrath.
Daniel Nov 25th 2008 4:49AM
to be honest i think alex is soooo right. the name is the worst i have seen in a while. it's some wanna-be profound bullshit that doesn't even sound good.
how can they even think that anybody gives a cent about what they think about the endgame difficulty? i bet the majority of the 11 million wow players hasn't even touched any of it yet. just because they can walk right into the raid instance with their shiny sunwell stuff doesn't mean it's not an effort for everyone else.
i totally agree that these guys are a bunch of douchebags that should have just announced their shitty guild name instead of posting rant about stuff that's not even fully released yet.
and here's news for you ensidia (lol). if 11 million players want easier access to the engame thats what they get. face the fact that you are just a very very small amount of players and don't count. no matter what you achieved as long as you don't buy enough accounts to make up for the loss of players who stop playing wow because they can not get into the endgame it will be a sure thing that blizzard will be doing the things that satisfy the masses.
TobiasX Nov 25th 2008 4:57AM
There's nothing wrong with content being easier than Sunwell. Nobody should be forced to level an entire profession just to kill bosses, that's a step too far.
What I'm saying is that I hope the rest of wrath isn't cleared as fast, hardcore or not. I enjoy the Challenge, if there isn't one then that's a quarter of my reason for raiding gone (half is doing it with my friends, the last quarter is lore).
Meatwagon Nov 25th 2008 3:01AM
after reading an article off mmo-champion in which they were questioning the guild leader i realized how uppity these guys are. they basically said that blizz wasn't challenging them enough.basically they want the initial raids to be so hard that its impossible to do by anybody but the xcore raiders
lalunas Nov 25th 2008 4:35AM
This has to be one of the worst posts ever made by Wowinsider. Ensidia is a good name, and I'm not a fanboy for those of you who think I am. Wowinsider, might be a worse name, when you think about the fact that 50% of the posts come via MMO-champion
meduenin Nov 25th 2008 4:26AM
This is indeed barely news, a name change is not an achievement. On top of that they offer their rants with statements as "Fail of the Lich King". I've never seen a guild putting out such a "press release" (at least they learned from that mistake and omitted those words now).
They're not the publishers of this game, and I wonder if they consider themselves the community leaders to offer such comments to Blizzard. At least there's more popular support for the non-sponsored underdog guilds who achieve the same kills mere hours after this behemoth without raking in real-life money.
TobiasX Nov 25th 2008 4:30AM
Now that I think about it, Naxxramas and co are meant to be on the same difficulty level as Karazhan (equate Malygos to Gruul, are harsh as that is lore-wise).
How long did they last from the release of Burning Crusade to their first beating?
I'm pretty sure it wasn't that long. We just need to wait and hope that the future raid content is more challenging.
Daedren Nov 25th 2008 4:30AM
Et tu, WoWInsider?
New stupid guild name trumps old stupid guild name.
I'm just glad they picked 25 November as a guild date. Now we can all remember it as one of the best days in Douchebag history!
Dightkuz Nov 25th 2008 4:48AM
Wow, looking at the comments in this article makes me realize just how arrogant and stupid americans really are... and yes, I just did a generalization there, but atleast it was a good one.
