WoW Insider Show Episode 65: Death Knight moves
This week's show was a humdinger -- our own Matthew Rossi (author of our Shaman and Warrior columns) and Daniel Whitcomb (who writes the Death Knight class column), so we've got some terrific discussion for your up-and-coming Death Knights out there. We talked about whether they were OP, and how they're going to fit into our groups and raids, both as tanks and DPS. We also answered emails as usual (including a good one about voice acting in the game, and how the "umbrella factions" in Northrend work), and we talked about how much money Blizzard made last week, and those new commercials (which I just saw on TV the other day).We had a great time making the show, and hopefully you'll have as good a time listening to it. As always, you can hit up any (or all) of the outlets below (and if you like the show, please do post a short review in iTunes, we'll appreciate it), or just press play right over on the sidebar (you'll find a new one there every morning).
Finally a reminder: we won't have a live show next week (November 29th) due to the Thanksgiving holiday, but we will have a new episode this week, featuring Felicia Day from The Guild as a special guest. She'll be on to talk about season 2 of her show, their big deal with Microsoft, and everything else WoW as usual. Stay tuned -- we'll post that one as soon as it's ready.

Felicia Day FTW!

Definitely thought there was some resemblance between the Lich King and Batman, although it might have been trying to find the humor in the circumstances.

Blood spec DKs are so fun. I have absolutely wrecked warriors, rogues, mages, warlocks, druids, hunters, and paladins. 5, 6, 8 levels higher than me it does not matter. Blood is hands down the best pvp build out there and there is no such thing as down time. Rarely I have to use bandages. By rarely I mean like once every 20 fights.

The sad thing is that this probably means you suck. DKs are so madly OP that you typically just pull a half dozen mobs, then regen the health by killing a few mobs one at a time. They have reverse downtime. If you're killing mobs one, two, or three at a time you typically GAIN health.

Hmm. Hasn't been pushed to the iTunes feed yet. Sadface.

Just listened to the show. I, like everyone else, have been playing my DK and was really looking forward to hearing from some people that had been playing the DK's during beta. It was good info and I enjoyed hearing from several different perspectives. One thing I didn't like was the chat channel guiding the direction of the show. I used to listen to this show about a year ago and I don't remember such focus on the chat channel during the show.
Things I liked: the variety of opinions on DK's, the detailed discussion on EVERYTHING dk, and the discussion on new content (what's good, what's bad, etc)
Things I don't like: the show being centered around the chat channel. I don't care about who is listening, I don't care about polls with 10-20 participants, and I REALLY don't care when they complain about the content of the show when said show is titled "Death Knight moves". (they were complaining about all the DK talk, so we moved on to the big news...WOTLK sold a ton! Big surpise!) In fact, why even do the show live? Record it, edit out the bad parts, edit out the parts talking about tech difficulties, and increase the volume.
Overall, I really enjoy the show. The content is usually right on, Mike keeps the show on topic, and the guests seem very knowledgeable. I just really disagree with the focus on the live part.
Thanks,
Doug
