Any better way to get to Sholazaar from Dalaran without going all the way around Wintergrasp?

become an engineer, go to the far northwest corner of wintergrasp, get on the ledge there, and parachute down. just don't open your chute too early. or you could simply fly there from ice crown.

I may be wrong, but I think the portal there from Krasus' Landing works even after the first time you accept the quest (I know I've done it twice now, but then again both of those times were before I had the flight path, so things may have changed.)

there is a path that goes down from borean tundra, not too far from the area that has the different elementals at war with each other. granted, im not certain if the path is safe all the way down, so you either may want to use your flying mount (if you can) or have some way to prevent a nasty falling death (i may check this out shortly on my deathknight engineer ;)

Actually, the guy on Krasus Landing will give you the Nesingwary quest when you're the appropriate level (76, I think) and will also lend you a plane to get there if you talk to him after you accepted the quest. But he will not give you a plane after you completed the quest. So once you arrived in Shol, you should complete the quest line from the guy that's a bit outside the camp, he will ask you for a plane engine and after around 3 quests he will have his plane repaired and you will have access to the flight point.
