Breakfast Topic: What's your questing style?

I'm generally in the last category myself. There's so much interesting lore and compelling story in Wrath that I don't want to miss risking a questline anywhere I go. Besides, if I finish all the quests, I'm that much closer to becoming a Loremaster, if nothing else. I do mix it up sometimes if I want to head into a zone early to grab a specific quest reward, such as heading into Borean Tundra to get my Axe of Frozen Death before heading back to Howling Fjord, but for the most part, when I head into a zone, I like to get it nice and cleared out from end to end.
How do you quest, and why? Do you fit one of the types above, or do you have another method?

When I enter a new zone, I go do all the quest chains to unlock all the dungeon quests for that level. Then I go run instances until I get all the quests done.
After that I go back to the first quest hub, and go wherever the wind blows.
Not the most immersive strategy, but I have a good time with it.

I don't like flitting between zones more than I have to. I prefer to pick a zone and finish all the quests in that area before moving on to the next.

To all the zone completers: did you do this in the barrens as well?

I have always tried to complete every quest in a zone - although I was never one for rep grinding, and thus skipped a lot of those in certain vanilla wow areas ...
I am also a non-guilded mostly solo player, so I tend to skip dungeon/3+ group (I can usually handle 2's or even 3's as a lock) quests unless a group is advertising at the moment .. otherwise I go back later when my RL friends are available to assist me.
I eventually plan to go back all the way to vanilla and finish every quest if it kills me, but ... seems a long way off.
For now, I am really enjoying leveling and exploring.

I take as many quests as I can in a zone, and once they start to become too spread out or take too much time I move on. I may not become a loremaster but I can sure level fast this way.

So... You don't wanna miss risking a questline?

I'm the third category also but I tend to go a little farther. I have a problem even moving to the next town if I haven't finished everything in that specific area.

I tend to follow the lore. If Im on a questline with really good backing I neglect all else. At the same time I am also the type to try and complete all quests in a zone before moving to the next. Hit 80 in Grizzly Hills and just now moving into Stormpeaks - first stop - Sons of the Hodir (Sources say the questline is epic).

I've always tried to push into new areas as soon as they were available to me. I like to keep the mobs at or above my level as much as possible, whenever possible to help with XP gain while questing. If I can get quests in a zone starting at lvl 76, I head straight there and start questing, even if I have quests left to finish where ever I currently am.
I have however done a few chain quests through to their completion, such as Wrathgate, Nessingwarys in Sholazar, and any quest chain that opens up an instance quest.
Otherwise, I usually push as far forward as I can. (For instacne, with a little over 200,000xp left to lvl 77 I flew to X3 just to kill mobs (no quests available when I went there) and Mobs giving almost 2300xp a kill.) Took me about 25 minutes to get the level just killing the mobs and stuff down there. I did a few dailies at the end to push me over.

Every damn quest in every damn zone in order of level. :D
I started with Howling Fjord on my main, then went to Borean Tundra, but I'm switching those two up on some of my alts. Right now my main is finally beginning Icecrown, and it has been an epic journey, one that's getting more epic still. :)

For the most part, I was all over the place on my first character to head towards 80. I managed to do pretty much everything in the Borean Tundra and almost all in Dragonblight. But beyond that, I was all over the place. Took a little vacation to the Howling Fjord early on to hit Utgarde Keep. Did the whole Worgen chain in the Grizzly Hills and the first half of Drakuru's quest chain (The second half is is incredibly fun and everyone should do it, even if they don't feel like doing the first half.) Did most of Zul'drak to finish up with Drakuru and because it was the first place to get a bunch of Argent Crusade and Ebon Blade rep before Icecrown. After I got the abillity to fly back, I headed to Icecrown for a couple levels, then finished my leveling doing the Thorin chain in the Stormpeaks.
My next character will be a little less scatter-shot. I've already started him off in the Borean Tundra, mostly to get the Nexus quests and a little rep with the Kirin Tor off the bat. Then he's going to spend some time doing everything in the Howling Fjord I haven't done yet. Then to Dragonblight for at least the Wrathgate chain before moving to Grizzly Hills and probably Zul'Drak. Then Icecrown last.
Not sure what route to take my other two alts in... Except I want them to end up at least doing the Wrathgate chain. That and Drakuru's chain are too much fun not to do.
