Wrath Dailies: Preparing for the Worst
Quick! Utaik needs your help! Gather eight of the Kaskala Supplies for him or the families of the Kalu'ak town Unu'pe will starve. This daily quest is simple yet surprisingly annoying. It's one of those that can quickly get under your skin as more and more people do it. Want to run around pickup objects while ten other people on your server do it at the same time? Then this quest is for you!
Quest Giver: Utaik, Kaskala, Borean Tundra
Reputation: Kalu'ak
Reward: 500 rep & 4.86g at level 80
Minimum Level: 68
Required Chain: None!
Read on after the break for our walkthrough of the quest, complete with a few tricks you can do to get it done quickly and easily.
Pickup the quest from Utaik. He's located at 64, 45 in Kaskala, right at the bottom of the hill entering the area. The quest itself is relatively simple in that he wants you to go around and pickup the supplies pictured below. The supplies are located around the camp that Utaik is in.

Right click on the supply to open it, picking up the goods inside. Repeat this process eight times and you're good.
But wait, there's more.
Good luck getting them. I'm on a relatively high population server and there's always two or three other people in the area. During peak hours I've ran into as many as a dozen folks running around doing the quest.
Luckily there are a few things you can do to solve this. First if you're a druid you can switch to flight form and quickly grab the supplies while staying in flight form. Everyone else will need to mount and unmount, and if you're at least level 77, your flying mount will help out a ton.
The other trick with this quest is to spread out into other areas. If you go north and south a bit you'll notice that there are other areas where the raiders are attacking, and thus other areas where the supplies are. These areas are usually less farmed. There have been days where I've headed here without even looking at the main encampment.
The upside to the heavy farming of this quest is that the supplies have a relatively fast respawn time. There have been cases when I've looted the same respawned supply three times in the course of doing daily.
So with a little luck and some peace and quiet you too can help Utaik and all the Kalu'ak family stay fed.
New dailies abound and you'll want to get in on the ground floor to raise those critical reputations up! Check out WoW Insider's continuing series of Wrath of the Lich King daily quests.Filed under: Quests, Factions, Guides, Making money

I recently wrote a post listing all the dailies in my own blog. This post goes into detail about each individual quest though, which is nice. I will add this link to my own blog post, so others can find some details about the quests I posted. Thanks!

Wow, AWESOME resource Altaholics. Thanks muchly for the time and effort you put into this.
This will help immensely with planning what quests to do and where to find them as well as getting to know my way around wrath a bit more.
Major kudos!

I'm glad you enjoyed it! I just noticed a lot of people asking about where to find dailies, so I found as many as I could... but I think there might be some missing still... however this should at least lead you to all of the hubs, which is of course where you will find all the quests!
Again, Im greatful that people have a use for it. I was scared I was wasting my time!

I like this daily because its simple, and I do it more than the other 2 for The Kalu'ak. I am revered now with them so I can't wait to get exalted....Fishing pole FTW!!

What's so complicated about kidnapping babies?
1 Kill mother
2 Grab Babies
3 ???? (probably eat babies)
4 Profit!

How have you guys not made a post about Daelo's forum post? this is HUGE news for warlocks.
The Debuff Limit and You
We changed how the game handles debuffs (ie negative state effects on targets) on creatures with Wrath of the Lich King. The old hard cap of 40 debuffs on a target no longer effectively exists. You can now apply way more debuffs to a target without them dropping off before their duration expires. The default WoW UI will not normally display all these debuffs, but they really are still there!

Forgive me for being a bit dense, but how does the debuff limit relate to this post?
Or are you simply irrelevant? (I would say "Or is your post simply irrelevant", but I consider irrelevance to be a life style not something that can be ascribed to an object. Oh, and irrelevance is a choice, you weren't born that way)

There's a form to submit tips and ideas to WI.
This is not that form.
Jimbo Dec 4th 2008 5:23PM
Where is that form? I'll gladly use it. I looked before I posted and didn't see it.

I've dinged Revered with almost every WOTLK reputation just from the outdoor chain-quests.
I can see myself being exalted with all the WOTLK facitons ins no time. Dailies and Heroic farming with Tabards = easy-mode exaltation.

See, my favorite for them (and IMHO the easiest) is still the talking the sea lions into mating daily. About 8 fish if you line it up just right (and others aren't doing it) and you're done.

I miss my druid flight form, I bet it saves soo much time in the long run for quests.. with the amount of times you need to mount/unmount.
Looks like dailies are more for getting gold now than just rep, since it'll be so easy to get rep from instances with the tabards

Indeed it does!
I dinged 77 a couple of nights ago and bought my Cold Weather Flying.
Now I can shift into Swift Flight Form at Krasus' Landing in Dalaran and fly anywhere I want. This daily -- nearly all the dailies really -- is MUCH easier with the ability to gather in
Swift Flight Form.
I feel I should apologize to all the people on my server whose pups/packages/herbs/etc. I've stolen by dropping in from the sky while the poor landlocked schlubs were slowly making their way across the ground.
Sorry!

You can only get reputation with a few factions using the tabard, and Kalu'ak isn't one of them.
Art Dec 3rd 2008 3:39PM
Head a bit east of the village. There's a small encampment (devoid of any NPCs or mobs) that has 4-5 baskets right there. I never saw anyone there besides me when I was doing this grind.

"....peek times I've ran...."
Poor grammar and spelling FTL.
And as regards running dailies for gold rather than rep, since rep can be gained from running instances - there are certain factions which can NOT be 'championed' by wearing the respective tabard when running instances. So there IS still a need to run dailies for rep with certain factions.

Maybe he means he peeked in, saw it was overfarmed and said "Screw this"? ;-)

"And as regards"
*And with regards to
Poor grammar and spelling FTL.

It goes 2 ways as far as I've noticed.
If you are alone, and picking them quickly, they spawn rate is SLOW, and takes some time.
If there are others around, they spawn FAST, like the aricle says.
The trick when it's crowed, is to camp just one or 2 spawns next to each other. One good spot, facing toward the water, the dock, to the right at the edge one spawns, then in the hut next to it on the right has another, just stand there being able to see both spots. Another is the firepit, 2 spawn next to the pit very close.
