Number 6: An interview with Noor the Pacifist
January 8th, 2008: 15 Minutes of Fame: Noor the Pacifist

15 Minutes of Fame has been a terrifically popular column -- our writer Lisa Poisso started it up as a way of turning the spotlight back on the most interesting players in the game, and she's definitely done that, from multiboxers to our own readers to disabled players to people who have the patience to build a Booty Bay completely out of Legos.
But of all of the great 15 Minutes posts, this is the one that's gotten the most views, so many that's it's gone up to almost halfway on our list. Noor is a player who levels through the game without killing -- he levels up by doing FedEx quests, and running battlegrounds only enough to interrupt flag captures and finish dailies, all without gaining any weapon skill or finishing off any other players or mobs. HIs story was so fascinating that Lisa went back to him to see how he was doing in Northrend, and he's still at it, doing repeatable turn-ins and holiday dailies for XP.
This was, of course, a terrific interview in the first place, but it didn't hurt that it got plenty of Internet attention, ending up on the first page of Digg, and gaining a mention on the huge blog Boing Boing also. But it's exactly what the column is intended to be: a intriguing look at some of the most interesting players around the realms.
