Mid to late 2007: Patch 2.4 and 3.0.2
This one's a combination of a few different pages -- the most popular patch we've ever reported on was patch 2.4, and our tag page for that patch ends way up on the list of most popular pages of all time. But really, there is lots and lots of patch news throughout the site that has done well. Patch 2.4 introduced the Sunwell, and it's no coincidence that while it's a huge patch in the game's history, it's also one of the patches we had to wait the longest for, which means there was plenty of speculation and analysis to go around from the time it was first announced to when it hit the PTR to actual release.

3.0.2, the Echoes of Doom patch that readied the game for Wrath of the Lich King, also reaches very high on the list, with our essential addons post as a standout page from that patch. Of course, neither of these patches was captured on just one page -- we had lots and lots of terrific posts that came out of both patches, from class changes analysis to images galleries and forum updates from the developers. But you readers have had a huge hunger for more and more information about what's new in each giant content patch, and we've worked hard to satisfy with tons and tons of information every single day.
