Number 9: Liveblogging the Wrath demo from BlizzCon
August 3rd, 2007: Wrath of the Lich King demo panel: Liveblogging from BlizzCon

Both of the BlizzCons we've covered have been terrific for us -- getting to meet Blizzard devs up close and personal, getting to check out their latest games, and (perhaps most of all) finding out in person how awesome our readers are. But of all of our BlizzCon content (yes, even the costume galleries), this is the biggest liveblog we've ever done: a first look at the game's second gigantic expansion.
We'd released the news of the expansion earlier in the day, including the fact that there would be a new class in the Death Knight, but this was our first look at the zones of Northrend, all the factions we'd eventually find there, and Blizzard's philosophy behind the design, including all the lessons they'd learned from Burning Crusade. This was the first time we'd heard about Dalaran's move, and about the Tuskarr and Taunka, and Lake Wintergrasp. I and the rest of WoW Insider's writers sat in rapt attention while thousands of readers sat at home pressing F5 like crazy (and our own producer-with-the-mostest Barb Dybwad took all of the great pictures, if I remember correctly).
Both BlizzCons were tons of fun, even if they were a little tiring to cover. But they've always been hugely successful weekends for us as a site, and hopefully we've done with both what we set out to do: bring you the most information the fastest, and make you feel like even if you haven't made it to Anaheim, you were there with us anyway.
Next: Number 8: Our biggest cities, invaded...
