Wrath 101: Flight paths in Grizzly Hills

Horde:
- Kragh, at 22,65 in Conquest Hold, in the west part of the map, is your first stop in the Hills, more than likely.
- Later on you'll get some quests to take you over to Camp Oneqwah, whose flight master is Makki Wintergale, at 65,47.
Alliance:
- Just over the river from the Horde's Conquest Hold is the Alliance base of Amberpine Lodge, with Vana Gray at 31,59. (A reference to a certain long-running game show, perhaps?)
- After doing some quests there (or if you just get bored) you'll be sent over to see some familiar faces at the Westfall Brigade Encampment. Samuel Clearbrook will pack you on a gryphon at 60,27.
Depending on rest XP, how many instances you do, whether you do both starting zones, etc., you might be getting your own wings back as early as Grizzly Hills, which really speeds things up. However, if not, or if you're still stuck on a pokey old normal-speed flying mount, be sure to catch my next installment, on Zul'Drak.

Woah daddy. This must've taken all of 3 minutes to type up. Woah, hang on, that is just a torrential downpour of information. I don't know if I can take it.
Why not cover some zones with more than 2 FPs? Most of your readers (judging from the level 80 poll) would probably be better served with the FPs in Storm Peak and Icecrown at this point, no?

or maybe he's just covering *all* of the zones...
"If you missed my previous posts on lower Northrend, go check out the Alliance Wrath Flight paths guide or the Horde Wrath Flight paths guide, as appropriate."

I've got no problem with all zones being covered, but this seems like an easier two for one, no?

Wow rogue, complain some more. Don't read it if you don't like it. Or are you complaining that he didn't cover the Icecrown and Storm Peaks 'cause you've been running around like a headless chicken trying to find them and can't yet.

Flight points are easy: skip Grizzly Hills (worst zone in the expansion), then get your sorry butt up to 77 so you can use your flying mount again.

I disagree, I am loving Grizzly Hills. The artwork is amazing so much to see.

I actually liked Grizzly Hills, it seems like there was nobody there when I leveled through it, and the scenery is pretty nice. Most of the quests there lack something to be desired, but there are a few gems (throwing boulders on dwarves, anyone?)
My least favorite zone is Zul Drak. What a miserable place. Without a flying mount, it's terrible to get from one 'outpost' to another. This was the only zone on my 'Yeah, skip that' list.

Not everyone has an epic flyer, or a flyer at all. My DK couldn't get epic flight until I hit 78. Flightpoints come in handy for these people.
Also, I for one don't enjoy manually flying everywhere. Hopping on a taxi is a great way to buy some afk time while you're going where you need to.
(And Grizzly Hills is great, the only poor zone is Icecrown, as it's got entirely too many group quests for crappy rewards, and is tedious to get around in even on 300% epic birds)

So THAT's where that 2nd flight point is. I guess I could have looked online and found it, but I didn't get around to it. Thanks :)

This site has already spotlighted mapwow.com, which accomplishes the same thing as this post, except for the entire new continent, in one concise page.

What a great resource mapwow.com would be if they kept their data accurate and up to date. Forest Song, Rebel Camp, Emerald Sanctuary.. still not there. Their Menethil Harbor boats still go to Theramore. I had to email them to include Orebar Harborage when BC came out. Their usage of the Google Maps API is excellent, but I'd verify the data elsewhere to be sure nothing is missing.

Biggest FP tip would be about Sholozar Basin. Well worth a post on its own.

I have to agree with some of the other comments, this stuff is ginger ale, when what we need is vodka. I think most people who've made it to Northrend cna figure out where the Flight points are for themselves, since the quests you do in the zone direct you to them as soon as you need them, there really isn't much brainpower involved in it. (Please, please, please don't disagree with that ; )
I'm not saying that articles with advice for people levelling up are a bad thing, I'm just saying that they could be much more useful. I would prefer to see things like instance guides, lists of quests with really good rewards, lists of quests that are really really annoying, (possibly glitched) or advice on gearing for heroics and raids.
PS- By 'advice on gearing' I do not mean lists of loot from instances, I have atlasloot for that, tyvm. I mean stat thresholds to aim for so I don't get critted into the floor. (For example, everyone knew that you should have 12k hp, 490 def, and about 40% avoidance minimum before showing your face in Kara. Something like that for Naxx/heroics would be really really useful.)

There are also one-way "flight paths" via log flume for each faction from the logging camps to Venture Bay.
