Maybe I just took this the wrong way, but I would be surprised if anyone did this for "fun" or gear, I would think that they were doing this to prove to Blizzard that the raid content is too easy. At least that is the message I took from this. If 2 people (no matter how well geared) could down a boss that was supposed to be for a 25 man raid (heroic mode right?), and even if it took them a long time to do it, I would consider that a design flaw in my book.Though I don't want to get in a discussion on raid difficulty (mostly because I don't raid).

Oh, and because of the achievement of doing it when no one else has (I forgot to mention that reason) ;)

If you read more closely, the article even states that this fight was trivial and possible to do with a small group even when it was 40 man Nax, which was the pinnacle of raid difficulty. Its nothing to do with the current state of raids.

Okies, my bad... I just watched the video and figured that all the "Raids are too easy" talk that had been flying around was verified with this... Guess I will read next time before posting, sorry to waste your reading time.

I don't think it's to prove anything other than it can be done. When people solo things or duo things it's usually for the sake of it.
