Looks like it'll be painful for Hunters in the not-too-distant future.

This is so annoying. Hunters were doing this kind of DPS in the beta weren't they? Why does Blizzard wait until Hunters get nice and accustomed to this before ripping the ground out beneath them? Annoying.

Need to learn the lesson from what they did to the Ret Pallies - they let you get used to it, claim it's okay and then WHAM! NERF NERF NERF!
Honestly, I shouldn't be surprised, but I am. Will they nerf druids next please? >:)

Pretty sure with hunters they have constantly said that their DPS is too high, for weeks now. They never said it was 'fine' by any stretch of the imagination, if anything they have consistently been saying that they were looking at hunter DPS. Don't really see how is it much of a surprise.

You could question if those morons at Blizz even know what they want from the game, nerfing and chancing classes every month.

The major reason you're all getting hit hard now, as opposed to, say, during the Beta is that Blizzard originally predicted that due to their Talents Hunters would dominate the DPS charts early on, but as other classes gear improved they would rocket up to catch Hunters, if not accelerating past them at some point.
They were wrong, and now they must fix the monsters they created. Armed with stakes, torches, and an angry mob's worth of Warlocks, Rogues, and Mages, the Hunters have become the hunted.
Same thing happened to Retribution Paladins. There was a bug going on for a while that caused stats to stack by multiply equipping your weapon over and over again. Blizzard was hoping that the bug I mention was causing an inflation of Retribution Paladin DPS, but after they sorted it out Ret Burst and DPS in general was still too high. So they got the "nerf bat".
It wouldn't suprise me if you see Warlocks getting buffs while Titan's Grip Warriors and Frostfire Mages get the bat. Blizzard knows when it's your mechanics and not your skill that's topping the meters, and with the new design theory, that's not gonna happen anymore.

Well that's it. why don't they nerf the ridiculous pets that BM's can get like rhinos and the other noisy things and leave us alone.
Hunters are the underdogs of wow because of a few (not a lot) of bad hunters and it was the dps factor that gave hunters an edge and let them into groups. Take that away and hunters are back out in the cold again

Yes, this is a big nerf, but there's some buffs in there. If I'm calculating correctly, this will nerf our dps about 10-15%. It's not going to kill us to have to work for our 3K+ dps, is it?
I'm able to kill most anyone on damage excepting overgeared ret pallies in heroic Strat...and I'm still running around in questing blues while they're in some tier 7 and mostly purple.
I don't consider myself a bad player, but I think the ones that will be hurt most by this are those that get by simply being BM spec'd and hitting Bestial Wrath every 2 minutes or so while mashing the Steady Shot key. I guess I'll find out if I'm really as good as I've been led to believe since BC came out.
