I would agree that Wintergrasp is a bad place to farm fire unless you're an Engineer. The Zapthrottle Mote Extractor serves your well here since there are 6 spawn locations for "Cinder Clouds" set in a circle, and usually you'll have 1-2 of them pop up every 10 minutes or so.
While my faction was in control of wintergrasp I was able to get about 10 eternal fires in about an hour, even with competition for the revenant spawns, because I was the only engineer there.
Could we maybe get an article on the Engineering clouds that have been updated? I've seen a couple different ones. Cinder Clouds give fire, Steam Clouds (in Sholazar) give 1 fire and several water, and the ones in Storm peaks (Icy Cloud I think) give air.
