We are so totally not slapping on a pair of red short-shorts and tossing a sledgehammer through your screen; everyone knows hunters can't equip maces. /pfft
And now, let's talk about what could be coming to hunters on the next public test realm as if we're not hopped up on Captain Crunch and a triple raspberry latte.
The hunter-forums are ablaze with irate masses, shrieking their throats raw over the proposed class-changes scheduled for the next Public Test Realm deployment. In our very humble opinion, they have every right to be, and it's all Ghostcrawler's fault. But not for the reason you think.
BRK's Exhibit A: "TO THE GROUND, BABY"
This statement was made by the defendant, coming off the phenomenal experiment that was Overpowered Retribution Paladin on the WotLK beta. Ret pallys were destroying anything and everything in their path. It was a beta; nobody should've cared that adjustments were to be made to DPS and healing. And they wouldn't have, if GC hadn't poked the gorilla.
It's called Diplomacy, and right now, the game masters who post on the forums at Blizzard need a crash-course in it. One would think that from the debacle that was the Rep Pally Smackdown, the developers would've learned their lesson. Nope.

That's one great big tall frosty glass of "DUH", right there. You've got a community of eleven million players, don't you think that you need to have someone with training propped up there to interact with them? WoW is bigger than Portugal (pop. 10.6 million) for cryin' out loud! Do you think the government of Greece (population 11.2 million) goes around and delivers bad news by way of a blog post?

Don't think so, that's not how the pros do it. The time has come for Blizz to knuckle down and realize that the language they use to communicate to each other with internal projects is not the same in which they should educate their customers as to future plans. And if you know you're not trained to do the task, either get some education or hire someone who has the skills already.
Notice that we're not upset with the message yet, arguing that hunters aren't over-powered? We'll get there, hold on. But first, if we're going to point out a problem, it is proper etiquette to attempt to solve it, too.

Honestly to say i've played wrath for only a month. I'm still lvl 73, and honestly i must suck because when i read some of the comments....i was thinking "dam i suck big time" because i'm still only 2nd to last...even while button mashing? honestly how can a hunter be a good hunter??? is their like some kind of magically stragey other then spamming steady shot and volley? And plus i'm still being kicked out of groups to be replaced by dam warlocks or another class and they haven't even seen me play yet. So obviously some people haaven't taken notice to this "OP". Honestly i just read it today
ok i will admit that i did notice that i could do some nice dps by myself, but in a group i'm still doing around the same amount of damage.
Honestly i guess its just me then...huh...cuz neither my other friends even mentioned that hunters were op, honestly didn't even hear any complaning in trade chats at all. SOOOO
i guess i'm just nuts then right...

Ok so your stating that everyone who is a bad hunter get off....and everyone that is a good hunter you should still be doing alright even aftern nerfing. Alright ill state it i've played my hunter for ooooo 2 years now. My favorite class to play i love it. What i don't love is the stuck up idiots who are "elite" hunters and can destroy me in a blink of an eye and then tell me i suck but yet wont' tell me how to improve myself??? i've read fourm after forum i've searched for a few hours on how to play hunters But yet i still suck, i'm specced out correctly. I have pretty much all pvp gear. but yet i must be doing something wrong cuz i still suck!!! no one gives a stragey guide for hunters, no one tells how you play ur class u have to figure out. Some people out their just want to experience the game. but how can people do that when everyone already assumes that 99% of all hunters are stupid???
tell me why did hunters become stuipd? because some child decided to play on a hunter and some how that child destroyed the classes rep? also i've realized that hunter class might be easy to people who played other classes first and is recommended for new beginners. that's a laugh in my eyes because when u finally hit the lvl cap you have to put ur game on hard or you won't get into anything, u get replaced by warlocks or some other class (Yes i've been replaced by warlocks 3 times and one time was getting in a poistion for a raid)
but ur also stating that hunters are the lowest dps out their to and we will never ever accomplish anything? (exaggerted a little)
i'm not crying honestly i dont' care about this stuipd nerf, all i am doing is defending hunters, because honestly i'm tired of people making fun of the class. saying we suck all the dam time and even if ur a hunter and ur awsome,
THEN GREAT give me some advice then, instead of walking away saying "figure it out on ur own"!!!! i don't see people doing that to tank or healers or other dps honestly. In my 2 years of playing no other hunter has ever given me good adivce other then "activate your Bestial wraith" i just learned recently that BM specced hunters need to spam steady shot HA i learned that from a friend who never played a hunter.
i know this comment is offtopic be nice just stating my opinion so don't freak out of me. unless you have something postive to say =)

QQ more BRK and hunters. I think this nerf is good for you huntards. As much as i read most of you post BRK, this is the most idiotic post ive read in WoWInsider. You should be removed from the roster... in like.. next year. Sooner would be better though.

Actually...I've personally found Ghostcrawler to be one of the most refreshing and down to earth people at Blizzard that the "public" has ever had relations with.
I'm inclined to believe that he comes off as more abrasive to many many people because he is the bringer of nerfs.

I got banned on the main wow hunter nerfs forum by saying: "Why the nerf blizz??? die die die. GC should go down to the ground. no baby here!"

BRK, I love your column in so many ways, but please don't forget that, since we are all gamers here, many, many, many of us LIKE this method of public relations, and detest the, "Oh, here, good hunter, have a nerf-bat," style of coddling.
Even my ret Pally got a thrill of crazed excitement from the thought of GC actually saying he'd be nerfed, "To the ground, baby!"
So, yeah, BRK, We know it isn't diplomatic, and that stripped away from your article, it sounds like you're really mostly okay with the nerf, and that's the biggest point. It's a great comfort to my wife, who plays a hunter and only a hunter (and has almost made 70!)
This is the gamer nation, man, and this is gamer diplomacy. I don't know- imagine there's a great big happy smiley after every single thing everyone says or something. :D

i'm actually okay with the nerfs. my hunter is fairly under geared compared to most of the people i run with, but the only people who really show competition are DKs and other hunters. playing a hunter has become too easy imo. basically all you have to do is bind all keys but one to a steady shot macro, bind that one key to bestial wrath, and faceroll. im looking forward to watching the lesser hunters epic fail with the new changes. itll show us all who really knows how to play, and who just happens to be good at having a seizure on their keyboard.

That's some stupid thoughts. Especiialy when you made an article about shaman, pallies and priest soling Onixia.
BTW i'm playing hunter BM, with my own custom made macro's... in most heroic and best enchant from WOTLK and i've seen rogues, warlock and DK's dish out more damage than me. I do around 1900-2000, 2200-2500 burst. DK's constantly do 2.3-2.5k no buffs with only 3 purple items. And i won't start with rogues... Or those damn warlocks.
I think your whole reasoning is off the meter and you forgot hunter are total crap in PVP and they deserve to be top DPS in PVE.

Hunters deserve no more then everyone eles.
I really only see major faults with the Hunter class and the major amount of damage they pull out of there ass.
Among all of the traps and slows they have, they are NOT the lowest of PvP and are defiently NOT the lowest of PvE
In my perspection Hunters are the most, as you say "Rigged".
