Yup, I can see why they wouldn't allow class changes...before you know it people would be changing to whatever is currently overpowered after the latest patch.Like Paladins? Remember when they were super-overpowered between patch 3.0 and the release of Lich King? Now, what if suddenly EVERYONE was a paladin!But race...I honestly don't think that a few tiny racial abilities and minor stat differences is reason enough to restrict it.

Easy way to curb that use of the tool: changing your class comes with an Achievement, "Indecisive". The Indecisive achievement carries a mandatory title, "-come-lately", which appears in addition to other titles and only becomes optional after 90 days. Thus, if I changed my priest to a paladin, she'd show up as "Ambassador Theande-come-lately" for three months, and everyone would know that I hadn't actually leveled a paladin to 80.
