Around Azeroth: I'll be watching you
Hey. Hey! I see what you're doing there. Don't stand in my pool with those dirty shoes on. That's nasty. . Hey ... what are you doing now? Don't drop that Rotting Bear Carcass in my pond! Ooh ... when you come back here at level 80 and I'm in corporeal form, you're going to be in for a world of hurt. You know what a fungal infection can do to your body? In the warm, moist places? That's right. Stay out of my pool and I'll stay out of your life.
(Thanks to Donkers of <Disciples of Divx> on Dark Iron for this shot from Ahn'Kahet! And before you ask, I'm not one hundred percent sure that the face is Amanitar, but it certainly bears a strong resemblance.)

Do you have any unusual World of Warcraft images that are just collecting dust in your screenshots folder? We'd love to see it on Around Azeroth! Sharing your screenshot is as simple as e-mailing aroundazeroth@wow.com with a copy of your shot and a brief explanation of the scene. You could be featured here next!
Remember to include your player name, server and/or guild if you want it mentioned. Please include the word "Azeroth" in your post so it does not get swept into the spam bin. We strongly prefer full screen shots without the UI showing -- use alt-Z to remove it. Please, no more battleground scoreboards or pictures of the Ninja Turtles in Dalaran.Filed under: Screenshots, Around Azeroth, Galleries

Cool, never noticed that before! But if I had to guess I'd say the face was of Yogg-Saron as foreshadowing for his inevitable appearance as a raid boss.

That's what I was hoping it was.

I third this - definitely He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named...the "Y" word...

C'thun is an Old God.
Yogg' saron is an Old God.
C'thulu takes up a massive amount of space underneath the earth, rumored the entire continent of Kalimdor.
Yogg'saron is rumored to take up all of Northrend.
We fought and took down just one TINY little part of C'thun, his eye.
Which means we will only get to take down one tiny little part of Yogg'saron, if any at all.
We can't honestly show the face of something thats an entire continent wide.
Besides, if you've ran the instance you'd know it is the Forgotten One's that are being shown in that pool.

Like it was stated earlier, the face in pool in Old Kingdom is with no debut Yogg-Saron, who will probably be appearing in the next patch content: Uldar raid. Tho I can imagine, unlike C'thun, who was lots of eyes based, Yogg will probably many maws themed, like it was stated in the Ursoc quest chain in Grizzly Hills.
I do hope that we get to see Torim again. We haven't see him aground since Sons of Hodir.

Judging by the pic, Yogg-Saron will resemble H.P Lovecraft's Cthulu. Expect something huge with tentacles for a mouth.

Alright now, if we were paying attention, the surreptitiously named C'thun was blizzard's play on C'thulu, why would they do it again?
i'm not saying it's impossible, they may be on a roll here... Old Gods vs. Old Ones, not to mention that the Faceless Ones are probably more reminiscent of Lovecrafts C'thulu than C'thun was.
