Mostly I remember waking up 2 hours early for a raie that lasted 8-10 hours with 40 people. And hunters usually got the boot on their epic quest :P [MC]
I remember when there was no heroic.
I remember calling UBRS after wiping on rend >_<
I remember pally armor dropping in a horde group.

Didn't that only happen in the pre-patch to TBC when everyone got their new talents and all the game was reorganised so the incoming draenei and belfs could gear up?
I certainly remember running strat and getting shammy gear on alliance. Slightly irritating for all in the group... I guess hunters could potentially use it though at least.

As far as I recall the Shaman drops for Alliance and Paladin gear for Horde was always there, not just in the run up to TBC. When you also consider the limited amount of drops per boss back then there was nothing worse than spending hours in a raid instance to not only suffer the usual dissapointment of the item that you were praying would drop not dropping but seeing an item that was of no use to anyone else in the raid either.

Hell, i remember wiping on the Beast. Then when he finally dropped, wanting to slit my wrist because Finkles skinner failed to drop for what must have been the hundredth time.
