I remember the closing day of the original beta testing, I was dancing on my warrior in Stormwind, and I told everyone the name of the character I was going to create when the game went live. Only to realize the servers were completely different. O.oI remember getting my first world epic drop, on my first 60, a few kills before he dinged 60. (it was that epic 2h sword, totally forget the name).Remember when my server opened the gates of AQ, I wasn't in the guild, but I was friends with them. They made a big huge deal out of walking to the gate to open it, the ENTIRE server showed up, nearly crashed the server, then they logged off, and did it like 6 hours later in the middle of the night. ROFL'dClearly AQ20 the first night, like it was a joke....But as for something that was different back then, that new folks will never experience. I'd say one of my most fond memories was leading and main tanking my guild to its first Ragnaros kill. 40 man raid, totally epic raid boss, people in such crappy non itemized gear. In my Dark Iron set (boots of the bear, ya, I'm leet).epic.
