I like your idea for the new column. I've been playing since TBC and I'm sad I know so little about classic. The end-game dungeons, the epic opening of AQ, PvP before Arenas, how classes have changed (prot paladin? shadow priest? boomkin?) or other cool stuff from old times (eg I know about the boss-1-shotting paladins ^^)
