WoW Moviewatch: Apparently not capable of love

The Spiritwolf created Apparently not capable of love a while ago for a Machinima.com contest. The movie was created by capturing still images from Model Viewer. Then, Spiritwolf animated the images in Flash. Add music from an unknown artist, and this music video is created. Spiritwolf warns in his Myndflame page that this video isn't premiere resolution, but I actually didn't find the quality bothersome at all.
I wasn't sure at first how I would feel about the animation style. Ultimately, I'm glad I took the risk. While I wouldn't want to see this animation style become a mainstay of production, I think it works very well for a one-off music video. The images provide a sort of artistic feel, and coupled with the kind of angsty lyrics to the song, gives the whole piece an overall funky kind of groove. Everything's fun to look at, and it has a kind of awesome, silly feel to it.

The song is familiar... I remember seeing a machinima a long time back with the song, but instead of undead and human, it was a belf and dwarf...

I just... am starting to feel that the entire WoW Machinima thing needs to just end.
WoW Moviewatch is supposed to be a showcase of the best out there, or one would assume it to be. Yet, nearly everything that finds its way in here is just terrible.
And a message to anyone that every made anything good: Put your efforts elsewhere. They will serve you better.

I don't care much for this stuff, but this particular vid is made *more interesting* by the unique editing and choppier style. Good job.

I was amused, it reminded me of a wow version of a rathergood.com video. Would have been better with a more goofy song, though.

Interesting video and animation style. Having seen many WoW machinima animations, I can't say for certain that I liked the cut-and-paste styling, having been spoiled on some of the fantastic smooth blending (which has influenced my own machinima that I have, unfortunately, had to put on the back burner thanks to patch 3.0.2 not liking WoW Model Viewer...and waiting desperately for the new model viewer to be released so that I can finish it), but it has a certain "South Park" appeal to it, c0upled with a certain anime styling...a certain...je ne sais quoi...
Watching it again, it does kinda grow on you :-)
