Blizzard misspells "Arthus" in Wrath's box

I'm not going to criticize the folks at Blizzard for making a spelling mistake. God only knows that I've made a number of them myself. But usually I do them without an editor or reviewer. But that's just me. I don't know enough about the situation at Blizzard to really comment otherwise.
None the less there it is, and you're free to make whatever assumptions you may make about it.
Thanks to Knuxx and Taeous for the picture and tip.

I don't really care when it's only one typo. It's when typos show up often that you have to wonder where the hell the editor is.

Well blizzard makes one mistake on bet you any money people complane about it and it somehow leads to more hunter nerfs.
Malkavos Dec 13th 2008 1:26PM
I think you must mean "nurfs".

While we're on the subject, I'd also like to take a moment to tell whomever writes the official strategy guide books to L2Edit.
Vanilla, BC, and now the LK strat guides are all a mess with partial graphics, half-finished sentences, etc. I know there's probably a nasty time-crunch, but seriously...

It's your own fault for buying those things. Strategy guides for MMOs are pretty much outdated within weeks of release. They are only good for console games that don't get updated much if at all.
ZUR13L Dec 13th 2008 11:14PM
Regardless of YOUR OPINION of paper strategy guides, I should still be able to expect a final, edited work for my money.
That's like saying it's my fault for ordering a burger that they forgot my fries.
Moron.

The game is still littered with spelling mistakes... in quest descriptions, NPC statements (Drak darkmist spiders return to "it's" lair or something like that), Shadow Embrace debuff on mobs ("recieved"). Not sure why they don't run spellcheck on their game before releasing it. Remember "Mask of Pennance"?
Hoggersbud Dec 13th 2008 1:38PM
Probably because of the multitude of non-errors that will get flagged, and the fact that the text information for the game isn't stored in one big long document file that somebody can just read through.
That said, there's an easy solution to any errors you see, report them. Especially if you're on the PTR. There's even an option for it IIRC.

Maybe it's Arthur?
