I agree with number 11: It really is only hurting themselves in the long run, I've even seen news reports about kids handing in papers written in cyber shorthand. It's saddening really. But as far as using it in a game goes, as long as you know what they mean, then it shouldn't matter. Correcting everyone just makes you look like a douche.
