My priestess is an agnostic. She has learned to channel the Light's energy, but she keeps on wondering where that energy comes from. I do not think being a priest actually requires the character to be religious, much like in real life one can take a technical approach to it. Seeking (or avoiding) faith makes for a much dynamic life story line than having it, in my opinion.

Well normally I'd say that a priest needs to have faith in something in order to draw on that power, but if you see it differently that's totally within your rights. Your story of the search for truth is very interesting indeed, but could it possibly be suited better to another class?
