Free realm transfers available for select EU realms

From: Burning Legion, Drak'thul, Sylvanas
To: Ahn'Qiraj, Burning Blade, Xavius
From: Magtheridon (Horde only)
To: Haomarush, Zenedar
It's very interesting to me that Magtheridon-EU's transfers are specifically for the Horde. That's not something you see very often. It's also interesting that they're trying to get the Horde off of the server rather than trying to coax more Alliance on board. I suppose the Horde is just that dominant on the server that the overpopulation is specifically because of that faction, and losing more Alliance would be a disaster. It's home to Ensidia, which is a Horde guild, so I wouldn't be shocked if that attracted a lot of Horde attention to that realm (and drove away Alliance in return). Will this help that? Maybe!
A few of the destination realms have been destination realms before, too. Haomarush, Xavius, Ahn'Qiraj, and Burning Blade were all up for transfers a few months ago. Will it work out this time? Maybe. We'll see, won't we?
Well, whatever happens, good luck on your new realms to all who will be hopping on board the transfer train!

PvP on Magtheridon is not much fun. Just imagine Wintergrasp...

Imagine the HP of an Alliance Feral Druid with all those Tenacity stacks.
"RAWR I R TEH RAID BOSS!"

Kanuris: That has happened to me while playing on Maggy, the bear had 115,000 hp I think. And the alliance do 15000 damage so vehicles can easily be 2shotted.

Well, Mags is listed as "full" on the realmlist, and i assume there's queues at peak times so trying to transfer more players onto the realm wouldn't be a smart idea.

I wonder why Blizz doesn't offer specific faction transfers off of some American servers also we have way to many alliance on Alleria but every time blizz opens transfers more horde leave then alli

They need to do an open transfer where you can transfer anywhere you want at least once a year or something

Given how many problems they've had with paid transfers, I can only imagine the nightmare that would cause.
Maybe if they offered it to groups of people who opted in like a lottery so it wasn't all at once, but it certainly couldn't be completely open.

one can dream can't they? most of my friends left one of the servers im on so it kind of sucks and being the holiday time i cant really spend the $25 bucks

whilst Mathe has a high horde pop, Haomarush and Zenedar have a very low horde pop in relation to Alliance. Hence why they're the realms that are being transfered to

I play Horde and I transferred 2 Characters from Haomarush earlier in the year to Stormscale via Paid Transfer.
My main reasons for doing so was the Low Population on Haomarush (Stormscale being an almost Full realm). It was like playing a Single Player game in most zones and groups were .... difficult to come by.

Let me tell ya bout Maggy. The Horde was always dominant. moybe 80/20 ot 75/25. And then, someone from Blizz had an idea - lets open transfer from Maggy, the server is pretty full. And it stayed 2 weeks for both Horde and Alliance, before they restricted it to Horde only. Now there are no more then 100 ppl who play alliance on the server, if u dont believe me, make an alli char and see it for yourself.

Ooh, it's a reverse Silvermoon!

Maggy is a joke..

Why would you want to move to a less populated server? its hard enough in a full server to get a PUG.
Matt Dec 20th 2008 4:45AM
personally, having been on high population servers before, i much more prefer a medium sized one, the raid instance lag at night is almost non existant compared to the really popular servers.
plus i do play for a little 'prestige' (aka epeen), on a highpop server *everyone* is wearing the gear you're after, unlike lower populated servers where it actually still has a little meaning.
i am from the AQ realm myself, having played on burning legion & sylvanas before i'd never ever go back to a full realm.
i will admit its most likely somewhat easier to find a proper pug tho, if you can't spend the time to get into a guild & do some guildruns.
