The general quality of the forums is more of a slap in the face than anything else.

These ads don't bother me at all. Maybe if there was a quality forum and/or forum communuty over there I would feel differently. It's just a bunch of drooling trolls quoting the post above them and writing things like "THIS" and "QFT."

I like it to ads on a subway: the place already looks like hell, so who cares if there's advertising all over it?

I generally avoid the official forums like the plague. I've found that the Wowhead forums tend to be a lot more helpful and not full of idiots and trolls.

Also, Firefox+Adblock ftw. I haven't seen a banner ad in ages.

The official forums offer little informational value to me as of late, so I will continue to avoid them.

The official forums are a wretched hive of scum, and villainy.
