Afflock rotation is certainly far more complicated than the days of spamming SB, and I think that's where the whining comes from. People who topped charts by pressing one button all raid now have to work. We run with 3 afflocks in our raids, and depending on the boss we all tend to be anywhere from 1-5 in the damage.

Certain fights are bad for the build (see: Loatheb, anything with a lot of threat drops) but are awesome for other fights (Heigan, Malygos). Teleporting out of vortex to continue blowing up Malygos is a blast.

And even on fights with multiple target swapping (like Sarth with multiple drakes up) we still do fine. People just don't want to adjust to something that takes effort to do well.
