He doesn't need a nerf. The first time my friend and I did this we wiped several times, but once you've done the fight a few times it actually becomes very simple.

The real issue to remember is that he is the current hardest heroic boss, so make sure you're appropriately geared. If your tank doesn't have enought hp, or your healer enough +heals, you will go down. Hell, on this fight even your dps needs appropriate gear because of the aoe damage.

Blizzard actually addressed this boss specifically. The article covered holy paladins, but some of the basic strategy is the same and will make this fight easier.
