Around Azeroth: Against all odds

As you prepare for a holiday feast with your family, friends, or fire department, take a moment out of your celebration to pity poor Thrall. He's just finished fighting off five billion demons in the Undercity (as shown in this pic by Ayatai of <Shadow Prophets> on Zuluhed), and now he's all alone for the holidays. Saurfang's off with Mrs. Saurfang. Garrosh Hellscream's partying in Northrend. And Zul'jin's taken his annual trip to the Dancing Troll Village. What's a poor, lonely, orphaned orc to do on Winter Veil? Hmm. Well, Jaina is pretty good at creating portals, and she doesn't have anyone else to visit either, and there's all this mistletoe hanging everywhere ... on second thought, don't pity poor Thrall.
Do you have any unusual World of Warcraft images that are just collecting dust in your screenshots folder? We'd love to see it on Around Azeroth! Sharing your screenshot is as simple as e-mailing aroundazeroth@wow.com with a copy of your shot and a brief explanation of the scene. You could be featured here next!
Remember to include your player name, server and/or guild if you want it mentioned. Please include the word "Azeroth" in your post so it does not get swept into the spam bin. We strongly prefer full screen shots without the UI showing -- use alt-Z to remove it. Please, no more battleground scoreboards, double-mounts, or pictures of the Ninja Turtles in Dalaran.

Actually the meddlers among the NE were the ones who would split off and become the Belfs while the current NE are the descendants of those who opposed Azshara.
Admittedly the whole Burning Legion issue is rather confused on the WoW website but it seems:
1) The original incursion was brought about by a certain faction of elves who were later exiled and became Belfs
2) The second incursion was brought about on one end by humans taught by Belfs (before they left the Alliance) and orcs seeking more power on Draenor
Wrynn did have a point in the Undercity attack. If the orcs had not accepted the seduction of the Legion, how different might history have been? (Not that Wrynn was right on thinking Orcs by nature itself were evil)
Of course I always thought the COT:Opening the Portal seemed a bit illogical from the alliance perspective: The alliance needs to let the event continue to prevent the Legion from gaining power on Azeroth, yet the opening of the portal was a Legion plot, and the subsequent Legion and Scourge activities were based on that first opening of the portal to the orcs... without it, the Horde would not have been needed to oppose the Legion in the 3rd War because the Legion activities were possible through the admittance of the orcs to Azeroth
Catch-22 Azeroth style
This is of course based on the history on the WoW website, and if it is not the "official" version my interpretation can be wrong

Thrall seems to be having a pretty bad holiday season on my server. The allys, who outnumber us 2 or 3:1, have him on farm status, sending 40 man raid after 40 man raid for their black war bear mounts. With all this, you can't really blame Thrall for feeling a little bit humbuggish this year.
