Kemikalkadet Dec 22nd 2008 5:58PM
Facebook app? erm.. it's a group. :S
Joey Dec 22nd 2008 6:32PM
It's not an app, it's a page. Could you be more pompous?
Clarick Dec 22nd 2008 8:31PM
I smell ignorance...
Paranoid much? Way to be informed? I can keep going but I won't
Lisa Poisso Dec 22nd 2008 6:03PM
And quite a diverse group, I might add. Look at everyone rolling in from all over the globe! The world seems smaller and friendlier with so many friends who play in it with you.
PeeWee Dec 22nd 2008 6:25PM
You forgot to mention the "Sell your soul"-part which is accepting the facebook EULA.

I'm an employer/collection agency/insurance company/stalker/pervert and I just LOVE Facebook and Myspace. All the juicy information people indiscreetly post about themselves there! They tell me where they work, admit to their habits and vices, and show me pictures of their homes and children. So much personal information to use for my benefit against them!
Thank you Wowinsider for promoting Facebook. Privacy and discretion are so overrated!

This.
Exactly why I won't join any of those sites. I guess I could be called a ludite for not getting with the whole social networking scene, but I cringe every time I'm directed to a friend's facebook/myspace page and see all the personal details they are more than willing to just throw out there for public consumption.
It's a great idea to provide a WoW Insider link to this, I suppose, for those already committed to facebook, but I will be staying away.

*Sets privacy settings to high and doesn't join groups full of strangers without thinking about it a bit first!*
Woah! This lets me both use a social networking app and not be a pompous ass.... The world isn't black and white, if you can't risk posting a holiday picture of yourself on an optionally private website then what can you do in life? Contrary to popular belief mostly no one cares about you...
*Looks up skydiving lessons!*

Well I'm a fan, regardless of my so-called "privacy" being invaded...
It's the people that don't bother to change all their privacy settings that can have all sorts of sordid details found out about them on any or many of these social networking sites.
Frankly I'm not so much of a socialite that I need to worry about someone finding out that I like to read books or take long walks on the beach.
And chances are if you already post on these here pages, you know how to cover your own privacy issues.
There's no need to be "slamming" these guys for saying they have a new corner on Facebook. It's exciting for at least them and the few people willing to support them there.
And now let the trolling, slamming & spamming of myself begin...
*reclines back in his chair with a beer in hand*

You can limit yourself to the minimum and use it as another tool.
I'm not in my "logical" network (Hello Kazaksthan!), I'm saying BS in most part of the profile, I'm not adding any pic (I'm even marked on a Parker Lewis or a snake pic), not giving information in my status, I didn't confirm my profile via phone & still have to use capcha...
No one is forcing you to give all details about your personal life.
(and btw, as said above, this is a wow insider group, not a painful app spamming your friends)
Mohrlock Dec 23rd 2008 4:45AM
Nice Caustik! Can I be your friend? *laughs*
Movingroads Dec 23rd 2008 8:04AM
I'd probably use it. Probably.
