He quit because he had valid concerns about Blizzard creating artificial barriers of entry to endgame content. I don't know how that makes him a "bag of douche."

No, it was the WoW account suicide note he left on his blog because his guild plays more than him and progressed beyond him, so he couldn't go to SSC and decided to cancel his subscription until Blizzard makes an expansion that is less raid-centric.THAT makes him a bag of douche.

He couldn't go in because he didn't have an attunement, which are stupid to begin with. They're artificial barriers to content.

I seriously don't see what all the hooplah is about attunement. I'ts FINE. It's not very hard - and it adds a little bit of accomplishment when you actually get into the raid. And (this is going to sound brutal) - it keeps the retards out.I miss MC and BWL

Those artificial barriers helped address other issues he mentions inthe interview, like being unable to create content quickly enough.Lowering raid difficulty also exacerbates that problem. Attunementswere fine. The only change needed was "if you did it on one toon,it's done for all your toons on that side on the server". Chilblain is clearly an a**hole and deserving of ignore listseverywhere, but he's not entirely wrong. The quit note did tend to the whiny and just plain silly. He could've been attuned very quickly if he wanted to bother. And the items for others to attune him had just been added to the game...which is another reason why attunements are fine. They pace content to the creation speed and Blizzard consistently eases and/or drops them later on. Anyone with the time to reach 70 could've at least taken a look at a BT fight by the end of BC, and even kill 'em after the nerf at the end. What's the problem? Everyone sees the content, they just don't see it at the same time unless they buckle down and push for it. On the other hand, Tobold has a quality blog and was an ATITD player so he's automatically on my good list. Heck, almost certain I met him there back when. [wave from Finkbug!]
