Those artificial barriers helped address other issues he mentions in
the interview, like being unable to create content quickly enough.
Lowering raid difficulty also exacerbates that problem. Attunements
were fine. The only change needed was "if you did it on one toon,
it's done for all your toons on that side on the server".
Chilblain is clearly an a**hole and deserving of ignore lists
everywhere, but he's not entirely wrong. The quit note did tend to the whiny and just plain silly. He could've been attuned very quickly if he wanted to bother. And the items for others to attune him had just been added to the game...which is another reason why attunements are fine. They pace content to the creation speed and Blizzard consistently eases and/or drops them later on. Anyone with the time to reach 70 could've at least taken a look at a BT fight by the end of BC, and even kill 'em after the nerf at the end. What's the problem? Everyone sees the content, they just don't see it at the same time unless they buckle down and push for it.
On the other hand, Tobold has a quality blog and was an ATITD player so he's automatically on my good list. Heck, almost certain I met him there back when. [wave from Finkbug!]
