Around Azeroth: Slay ride
Who will deliver presents to the denizens of Azeroth when Greatfather Winter gets dazed off his epic flyer? Why, Doodlebug of Kael'thas, of course! He'll presumably be joining up with KwanzaaBot and the Chanukah Zombie later on, but for now, it's just him and his reindeer ... hey, it IS just him and his reindeer. Where are the presents? He stole the blasted presents! They're up on the auction house! I guess that's one way to raise the cash for that Tundra Mammoth.
Do you have any unusual World of Warcraft images that are just collecting dust in your screenshots folder? We'd love to see it on Around Azeroth! Sharing your screenshot is as simple as e-mailing aroundazeroth@wow.com with a copy of your shot and a brief explanation of the scene. You could be featured here next!
Remember to include your player name, server and/or guild if you want it mentioned. Please include the word "Azeroth" in your post so it does not get swept into the spam bin. We strongly prefer full screen shots without the UI showing -- use alt-Z to remove it. Please, no more battleground scoreboards, double-mounts, or pictures of the Ninja Turtles in Dalaran.Filed under: Screenshots, Around Azeroth, Galleries

You CAN'T get dazed off a flying mount.

Have ya never heard of a beastie called the Monstrous Kaliri? Many a person fell to their doom after getting pecked off their mount.

Is this something new that I have missed? I have been dazed off of flying mounts in Skettis many times. Or maybe its just a feature of that area as an obstacle for the daily quests? Same thing with Rivendark on the Ogri'la plateau in BEM. Again though...perhaps this is just a mechanic for that area due to the dailies?

Yeah, those are mob mechanics specific to the zones. A player normally can't be dazed off flyers, same as they can't be sheeped/hexed.

Did you really need to disgrace two real religious and observational holidays by mentioning Kwanzaa in the same context? It's a crackpot holiday thought up in the 1960's by a civil rights extremist who had ties to the Black Panthers, and it's ridiculous to even acknowledge it.

someone needs to watch more futurama

"Crackpot" holiday? It's a celebration of African heritage. No one's making you observe it, but thousands of people actually do, and they don't need you ridiculing it.
Say it IRL if you really mean it, not from behind a computer screen.

I do.

Random miscellaneous nerd fact of the day:
"Slay Ride" was the name of one of Christmas themed attractions featured in the Rickety Town stage in Midway's Arcade shooter "Carnevil".
