A Merry Christmas with the Lich King

You might have thought Christmas was over, but not so fast -- there's one more terrible almost undead overlord who wants to wish you a merry one. Yes it's Arthas himself -- reader Adam Beamish sent us these pictures of himself (at least we think it's him -- he made the costume anyway) dressed up as a jolly... well, somewhat jolly old Death Knight, and they are hilarious.
Brilliant. The costume is great (even if the idea of Arthas as St. Nick is a little silly), and the pictures, by Brooks Reynolds, are very well done. One question, though: where's the candy cane Frostmourne?

I usually find cos-play very disturbing... but for some reason the santa hat makes it ok.
I have no idea why, but this isn't bothering me as much as someone who takes their bizzare fantasy dress-up seriously.
Now he needs a big Candycane Frostmourne, and a polarbear rocking horse.

Can't believe this actually got posted, but I'm glad it did.
I don't know how you want to define cosplay, but I don't dress up and go to conventions. I'm an aspiring costume artist, and these are shots of me in my Halloween 2008 costume. Granted, I tend to go a bit overboard at Halloween, but it happens to be my favourite holiday.
As a part of my Christmas present, my girlfriend arranged to have our friend Brooks (www.brooksreynolds.com) take some photos of the costume for posterity. Mix in a bit of yuletide eggnog, and this is what you get.
There are a lot more photos from this set, without the hat and WITH Frostmourne, but I just got the proofs today, so it'll take a while to go through them all.
@ scrumb - not the first time I've been compared to Bill Maher.

No need to justify yourself just because some insecure kids can't deal with creative hobbies ;)
The costume in all its detail is awesome (I am especially impressed that you managed to stay faithful to the colours so well, despite obviously using different materials) and I applaud you for managing to keep a straight face under that Santa hat :)
Also compliments to your photographer.
