This is useful information for all physical-damage classes. As mentioned above, the forums always say Armor Penetration is bad, but never really explain why. My fury warrior has very little (if any) of it, but now I understand better WHY I should continue to avoid it.

I don't really think it's useful. It's a long-winded way of pointing out a form of diminishing returns, but you can sum up the superiority and desirability of Crit over Armor Pen simply and briefly: For the amount of item budget each stat takes, Crit is ALWAYS the better value over Armor Pen.That is, the amount of Crit on an iLevel 200 chestpiece is always going to benefit you more than the amount of Armor Pen because you get more Crit per "item budget" point. ESPECIALLY for classes like Rogues, Enhancement Shamans and Hunters, who get Crit from both Agi and Crit rating, and who benefit hugely from pieces with both of those stats on them.Next time you see a Rogue, Enhancement Shaman or Hunter leading your raid in DPS, Inspect them and see how many of their armor pieces have both Crit and Agi, and how little Haste or Armor Pen they have.
