An avowed non-PvPer can't get enough of Lake Wintergrasp

Does anyone else have a server where every time wintergrasp happens, the northrend servers crash? I mean..when I go to the battle of wintergrasp, the only thing that works is AOE damage. The lag is terrible. As a melee class, I'm completely useless unless I do it early in the morning. I'm also guessing the horde population on my server is greater than alliance, due the alliance having so many stacks of the buff from wintergrasp, tenacity(Tenacity is a buff that makes you a badass. It increases your health, damage, and healing, atleast maybe something else. You can get it stacked so many times depending on the amount of players in the zone during the battle of each faction. It's meant to level the playing field when one side is lacking players) This might just be an issue with the older servers, but I know it sucks on arthas to just be sitting there fishing in the sewers of dalaran and get booted off and instantly assume that wintergrasp just started and crashed.
