My friend, who plays a PvE Disc priest, was f'ing pissed that wand specialization was removed, since he's wanding whenever there is no healing to do. Unlike other ranged weapons, there's no other way to augment wand damage, so such a huge multiplier on wands was awesome. Twin Disciplines is a nice talent, to be sure, but I can see why he was upset with this change.

Your "friend" is a horrible player and he should be grateful that they have saved him from himself by removing wand spec.

So many people have had their priests at the various max levels for so long, they have forgotten how useful wand spec. was while leveling. I certainly don't need it now, but I was glad to have it then.

That's really constructive claw. I tend to just stand there instead of wanding, but that's because I'm lazy. At least wanding adds a bit of dps, and doesn't cost any mana. Also, neither of us were 60 when it was the cap, or 70 for more than a few weeks before wrath. So "while leveling" defines the game from my perspective. I've been leveling for years now.
