Winter Veil ending tomorrow morning
If you're trying to finish up some of your Winter Veil achievements (which are all mandatory if you want to get the Violet Proto-Drake one day), remember that you don't have much time left. Today is the last full day of the holiday. It ends tomorrow (the 2nd) at 6 AM according to the in-game calendar. You have less than 24 hours to get your fill of fruitcake and stock up on Holiday Spices. If you're trying to finish up your work toward the Merrymaker title, don't forget to check out Amanda Miller's guide to the Winter Veil achievements. The quickest piece of advice, though? If you still need Let It Snow or Bros. Before Ho Ho Ho's, start hitting the revelers every hour on the hour, because your achievements are now in the hands of fate, not your own. Good luck.

Mic Stephenson Jan 1st 2009 9:32AM
Every other word? The links are to guides or items..........

What, no comment of it's the beginning of the month for Consortium gems?

You can also use your alts and mail yourself the mistletoe at least for the bros.... achievement.
Relk Jan 2nd 2009 8:50AM
Actually, the Mistletoe is soulbound. You can share the snow flakes though.

I still need the horde side for Let it Snow, darnit. Much harder to find these guys than I'd have thought! Doesn't help that Dalaran is a ghost town (I know, right?) every time I run through.

On my server there is a large horde presence (and I'm horde) so it was hard finding the Draenei priest. x) My friend ended up going to their starting zone.

I got it all done two days ago, luckily. I had the hardest time with finding a tauren shaman to throw the snowflakes on. Hilariously though I found one in Strand of the Ancients so I sprinkled him there. As for the Ogrila one I had the hardest time finding a group for that, but eventually I did then I had to up my cooking a lot. I am happy I did though because it got me off my virtual chair and started working on it.

The worst thing was to skill cooking from zero up to 325. Just awful. Too bad that I have to wait till Hallow's End this year. At least I may call myself Merrymaker now. :)

Biggest pain was by far (for me) the gnome pvp thing - the costume would go away if you shapeshifted (ghost wolf in this case) and would go away when you died...
As an elemental shaman I do a lot of dieing it seems.

I've had Merrymaker for a good few days now. Being bedecked in S2-S4 PvP gear helped for running AV in the 61-70 bracket on my hunter, while nabbing the 50 kills as a gnome. The last of the hordies I sprinkled snowflakes on was a rather elusive Belfalock in Dalaran.

I still have to get the 50 HK while disguised but I hate PVP so much...
Amaxe Jan 1st 2009 5:07PM
I found AV was least painful. My enh shaman was healing and ranged dps.
Still took me several battles though, as once you die, the kills you do after that are for nothing
merge Jan 1st 2009 4:02PM
I did the 50 hk in ONE Av....it's really simple...get involved in a turtle.....let alot of other people charge in front of you, snipe at stragglers. now I know this will be hard if you are a warrior an used to charging into combat willy nilly. Just hang back and let the hk's rack up. for gods sake stop whining , this was Easy. Stay TO THE BACK. wow.....problem solved. and once you have your achievement, go crazy in there with the kills or whatever.

it took me 2 days to get the merrymaker title. Would have had it in one day if the i got the item to turn u into a snowman right away instead of waiting 24hours.
