Frostmourne just turned Arthas into an exceptionally powerful Death Knight, effectively the "living" weapon of the Lich King.Arthas' body was not possessed/fused with Ner'zhul's mind until Arthas (still a death knight) was compelled to put on the Helm of Domination and the Plate of the Damned. So technically, Frostmourne would make perfect lore sense as a Death Knight-only weapon (this is because if you gave it to anyone else, I.E., a paladin, it would turn them into a death knight, and Blizz has explicitly stated no class/race changes, ever.).The other way that It could work is that it is accessible to Death Knights, wherein it is simply very, very powerful and changes nothing (or maybe lets you enslave non-elite undead). For Pallies, it could simply change all spells cast to shadow damage/healing and also be very powerful. For Warriors, heck, I don't know, I'd say it makes a percentage of your melee damage shadow/frost damage, but that would be OP.Just have a different version of it for each class, just like Atiesh. It would be exceedingly cool if there was a colossal quest where you had to retrieve Frostmourne, the Plate of the Damned, and the Helm of Domination, and then escort the person who looted them to Tirion Fordring, through hordes of Scourge. At the end, the helm and plate (and the spirit of the Lich King) are destroyed, and the sword becomes usable.I think it would be cool if any melee-focused sword-using class could get a different, specific, and legendarily powerful version of Frostmourne via a quest involving killing the Lich King etc.But that's just my take.
