I know its like grasping at straws, but I'd love to see us finally go to Pandaria, and maybe have playable Pandarens. However, it is a long shot.
I agree that Burning Crusade was too techy. I was not a fan of the gear you could get (look-wise) and I felt like I really wasn't playing Warcraft anymore. The Warcraft universe is one of gothic iron and steampunk... Floating crystals just didn't fit.
Also, I'm hoping that future events in the Crystalsong Forest will lead us closer to Deathwing. A good fight with a Black Dragon is well overdue.

Depending where it is, I always figured that Pandaria would be a good staging point for venturing into the Maelstrom and other watery areas, a bit like Yojamba Isle was the troll staging point for dealing with Hakkar in Zul'gurub, but obviously much bigger.
Of course the island of Zandalar or Kezan would be equally good, I just thought it would be a good excuse to get Pandaren in without going nuts over them.

I would love that also! I would so ditch my main in a heart beat to be a Pandarian!

Zandalar might be a good place for the Horde to stage their assault, but I was thinking Kul Tiras would be great for the Alliance. However, following Blizzard's usual style of having one major city, it will most likely be Kezan, where the Undermine is.

When will people get it through their heads that this retarded race was a joke and not part of the WoW game? A great many of us are tired of you bringing panda dudes up every time any kind of new suggestion is brought up. There will never be panda men in WoW. Deal with it. Pandas are nature's losers. If they are too stupid to breed on their own, they certainly couldn't find their way out of a start zone. Let it die.

I said I was grasping at straws. Yes, they began as a joke, but they were officially written into the lore and even played major roles in securing the Horde's foothold in Kalimdor. The evolved into something much more than a joke, and many of us would still like to see them in-game. Personally I'd be happy just seeing them as NPCs. Blizzard never said they wouldn't put them in.
Bitter much?

Seconded. Pandaren = lame. wtb Undermine & Zandalar for the next expansion.

I think we will see the sci-fi elements in the expansion after the next one (Most likelt to be the last one too), where we probably get to shut down the Burning Legion as a whole and kick Saregas' butt...
But for the next one, there is still plenty of lore - Deathwing, more Old Gods, Emerald Dream, Maelstrom, maybe a new storyline that unfolds after we finish off Arthas and Ner-Zhul..

It would be interesting to see some form of Asian culture, whether Pandaren or something entirely unrelated.
Perhaps an expansion where the Alliance/Horde are some sort of Gaijin who have to earn their right to be accepted

We're already having a big fight with Sartharion, which is a continuation of Netherwing story from Burning Crusade (involving Deathwing trying to breed a new flight of dragons for himself). I expect that story to continue somehow :)
